Pan Pacific Aggregates PLC (PPA)Β Signs Off RecordΒ SalesΒ at Pumptown in First Month
PPA is pleased to report record sales for its Abbotsford based new acquisition Pumptown Quarry Inc (PTQ) for the month of June, 2008. PTQ sold over 28,000 tonnes of quarried aggregate product during the month.Β
Since its acquisition by PPAΒ at the beginning of June, sales at PTQ have increased by 70% over the previous month. Sales at the quarry have increased more than 200% in the past 12 months, with the strongest growth being experienced in the past three months. This growth can be attributed to a focused and controlled management approach to sales and development of this asset.
Chairman Don Nicholson and Chief Executive OfficerΒ William VoadenΒ commented:Β "We recognised a strong growth opportunity with this company and these numbers support that. We believe that this is just the start. Our intent is to build this division to its full potential and to continueΒ aggressivelyΒ toΒ seek out large construction gravel supply contracts." PPA has been working with the Ministry of Mines this past week to ensure continued compliance while increasing the development of the Pumptown Quarry.
