Third dividend for the year to 31 December 2008
Following the successful sale of your Company's investment in Grosvenor Health at the end of May of this year, I am pleased to say that the VCT still has healthy cash balances in both its Ordinary and C Share portfolios. With this in mind, the Board has decided to pay a further dividend for the year to 31 December 2008 of 8 pence per Ordinary Share and 1.5 pence per C Share, payable on 30 December 2008 to those shareholders on the register as at 12 December 2008.
This brings the total dividends paid for the year to 16 pence per Ordinary Share and 4.5 pence per C Share. It is intended, however, that this third dividend will be replacing the first and second dividends for the Ordinary Shares for the year to 31 December 2009, and the first dividend for the C Shares for that year. Thus Ordinary Shareholders are unlikely to receive any dividends next year, and C Shareholders will only receive one dividend.
