Change of Name, Change of Tax Residency and Director Retirement

Change of Name

The Company confirms that it has changed its name to abrdn Asian Income Fund Limited with effect from 1 January 2022.

Change of Tax Residency

The Company further confirms that with effect from 1 January 2022 it has the migrated the Company's tax residency to the UK from Jersey and elected for the Company to join the UK's investment trust regime.

Retirement of Mr Charles Clarke on 31 December 2021

As indicated in the last Half Yearly Report and as part of the Board's orderly succession planning, the Board confirms that Mr Charles Clarke retired from the Board on 31 December 2021 and that Mr Ian Cadby has succeeded him as Chairman of the Company. The Directors would like to reiterate their sincere thanks and appreciation for the enormous contribution to the Company made by Mr Clarke as a Director since 2012, as Senior Independent Director and Audit Committee Chairman in 2017 and 2018 and as Chairman since 2018.
