SIGNIFICANT EVENT
Attached is the Significant Event filed with the Superintendence of Securities and Insurance of Santiago de Chile, by ENERSIS, an Endesa investee:
“Pursuant to articles 9 and 10, paragraph 2 of the Securities Market Law (18,045), the provisions of General Norm 30 of the Superintendence, duly authorized and representing Enersis S.A. (the "company"), I hereby inform you as significant event the following:
The transfer from Endesa Latinoamérica, S.A., major shareholder of Enersis S.A. and owner of 60.62% of the share capital of the company, to Endesa, S.A. (Endesa Spain) of all of its pre-emptive rights options of the Enersis S.A. ongoing capital increase, equivalent to 9,967,630,058 options, worth a total of Ch$ 32,783,535,261 was made today. The value paid by Endesa, S.A. to Endesa Latinoamérica, S.A. corresponds to Ch$ 3.289 for each option, value at which options traded when the market closed on March 12, 2013.
The above does not have any financial effect on the assets, nor on the liabilities or results from Enersis S.A.”
