Dip666 if it wasn't for you (and Bamps) on GGPChat - that forum would be quieter than a whisper in space! It's running at about 3 or four posts daily and there is no immediate response to posters comments, sometimes for days.
Atleast here, there is constant activity and one can dip in and out at random but the flow keeps going.

I never expected SB to shoot the golden goose! I'm still trying to assimilate his logic (as to why he didn't snap their hand off) .
Based on a mine (life time) resource of 20Moz (possibly more), GGP's 5% would be worth £800m (over many years) and SB has said: "meh" to paying £50m for that particular slice of the cake. If that is not short sightedness, what is?
The market was prepared for a cash injection @ GGP and that is why the SP has slumped. When they wake up and smell the coffee, the lights will come back on!
This particular chapter is now closed and GGP have managed to hold it all together, both in recognition of their MRE(2) and in retaining their original 5%. Deep down, SD wanted this all along if you listened to his mood music. Now he can move forward with HIS plans for GGP, slightly bruised but intact.
Debt sheets next.

Greggie - I struggle to see where people like you come from.
No disrespect but the USP of GGP is that there is light at the end of the decline (sorry) tunnel.
This mine is going to produce gold in under 2 years - FACT. It might be with GGP or without.....both will make us money. We are not a maybe/possibly/could be miner, we're the real deal.
So why are you getting your knickers in a twist about a certainty?
I would agree with you IF, just IF we were in a dodgy jusidiction, no money, no major holding our hand, etc, etc (sounds like Solg!!!).
But this is a certain as it gets.
I suspect you're not good at managing time perhaps, rather than expectations - no?

MFU: I fancy that sort of news too. But others (on other boards) are suggesting maybe this will be more of the Inferred upgrading to Indicated and this upgrading to Ore reserve.
IF.......... if more gold is declared, I am going for an upgrade from 6.5MozAuEq to a maximum of 8MozAuEq for this stage. But the emphasis will probably on strengthening the resource indicated etc.
Whatever - the forums will be glowing red hot over the next 18hrs, let's hope it's for the right reasons eh?

Hi RedIrons - NCM have been caught with their pants down. Twice now: Once when they thought they could get away with JUST the PFS result (not expecting the GGP MRE(2)) and secondly - when the arbitrator accepted GGP's higher offer for the 5% fmv.
This reporting period gives them the opportunity to not only accept this to be the case (formally) but maybe with a fair wind - up the ante and declare outstanding MR and OR results @ Hav, pushing us into the next level of discovered resources. IE: more gold!
I'm keen to see how SB words his results.
Will he continue to subdue them (because his bid offer isn't quite ready), or will he wholeheartedly agree that what GGP has declared, they too have now declared (because he isn't going to bid?

The next 48 hours are going to change the relationship between NCM and GGP forever.
NCM must act soon if they want to contain SD's ambitions.

An interesting hypothesis.
Lots happening between now and the DFS.
Let's see how NCM handles the 5% option first - could be a clue to what you suspect.

There are 10 business days left before the offer to purchase the 5% ceases.
IF NCM wants it, it would make sense for them to mention it in their annual report; it makes it neat and tidy.
IF NCM takes up the offer of the option price they are acknowledging that GGP has a 5.3 multiple in their NPV compared to the PFS value last December.
In other words, they formally accept what GGP's MRE(2) had to say.
IMO this would be a catalyst for movement in the SP, in itself, in addition to what may come from NCM's June 3oth results reflected in NCM's MR and OR results.
I fully expect NCM to take up the offer this month.

Here's wishing a full recovery for Mrs Speedy. Just gone through it with one of our family members too.
Even after all the pressure the NHS have come under during covid, they are still ready and waiting and performing miracles daily.
