I suspect many here 'skim' read certain posts. NO-ONE tom my knowledge has ever or can ever criticise Nm for what he has done and where he has brought us.........................to date.
I admire this in the man.
But of late......after what should be a great boost to the SP, past RNS's and podcast and webcasts have done little if anything to move this stock fwd at an acceptable speed. EVERYONE I know and talk to tells me that this company is woefully undervalued. We are sitting on the biggest confluence of copper/gold mines in recent history and it is for NM's taking.
Yet look where we are today and dig out your binoculars and look down the road to tomorrow and understand that if this is left to NM, we will all be old, dead and buried before we enjoy the spoils of our efforts.
No-one here has bought into Solg to become a life long member with free entry to future gold mines in ecuador. They are her for a PROFIT and they want it NOW. We're a capitalist state we are greedy, we weant want want...and now. Like it or lump it.
It is the way of the (western) world.
NM out...BHP/NCM/A.N.OTHER in....quick buck....move on.

Hi smickster...I'm not saying nick 'would have been out' I am saying that we can look at the whole picture and see that a major chunk of voting in favour of Nick, came from DGR. As expected...he owns the company. So that voting block will bias towards Nick. Remove nicks input from nicks result and we find that only 34% of all the other votes voted in favour of nick being the CEO. It shouts from the rooftops that the majority of solg shareholders have no confidence in Nick (anymore).

Did you see the AGM red? The 'board looked completely 'bored'. Not interested, glum, tired.
Mind it was 9.30pm after a long day no doubt. They had already had time to digest the results before this meeting....gloom and doom was amongst them......and then Nick left quickly.
To sulk probably.

Smickster - DGR is a major shareholder in Solg. NM owns DGR, NM tells DGR to vote in his favour??? Is this not difficult to follow?

NCM/BHP can buy more shares, enough to call an EGM. They can simply bid! They can offer a JV.....a few options I believe.
Whether anyone here thinks he does a great job or not...this isn't the issue. The issue is that he is not conforming to the natural flow of events when majors get their way
We can rant on about why should they, who do they think they are..blah blah.
BUT apart from one exception...Majors run the show!

And when all is said and done.....they will, here, too.

Smickster - if I may, I will disagree with you. NCM and BHP aren't going to walk away with that result and say: "oh well never mind".
They really can smell the fear in Nick now. They know he is not safe. They are already plotting their next move and this time smickster, they won't miss the target.

Taking DGR's voting rights away from the result leaves NM without any clothes on. He managed 34% of the entire shareholding confidence after removing his own company support.

What does that tell us, the markets and Nick?

Based on the below, I suggested the following (on the 12th Dec):
Opening tomorrow (Monday 14th) will be in the blue...I'm guessing: 31.5 by CoP.
By Friday: 36p. A week later: 32p.
End of year without Scally: 32.5p.
With scally: 35p.

I'm expecting scally late next week

This is what happened during 1st Tranche of the GDXJ purchase:
Sept 11th - GDXJ starts buy. SP: 19.9p.
Sept 18th - GDXJ stops buy. SP: 27p. [1000 GGP posts in a 12 hour period].
Sept 25th - profit takers. SP: 20p.
Oct 5th - Gap filled. SP: 24p.

Let's look at all the great news first -
Cascabel just got bigger(Tandayama-america) a feck whole lot bigger, in fact it could stand alone as a Tier 1 from its description alone if it wasn't so damn close to Alpala.
Porvenir is showing very 'reasonable' results indeed...but when you multipy 'reasonable' x enormous (due to its geographical dimensions) - it is fecking ginormous.
Rio A...has great potential.
And so we go on and on. Basically, Solg has unearthed one massive region of Ecuador that is saturated in PM's and Solg are the very FIRST to secure 74 tenements.
OK...got it.....and....
Today we just heard that the man at the helm of the company that plans to bring ALL of this eventually to production over the foreseeable 10+ years...has just managed to secure his tenure...........by 5%???
This morning NM became public enemy number one in the boardroooms of: NCM/BHP/CGP/?
You don't want to corner 2 x rottweillers (NCM/BHP) and a jack russell terrier (CGP) for too long before they go for you.
Nm is a dead man walking. Solg will go to production but in the back seat ,not driving the bus.
