There are a large number of PI's on here who have atleast a million shares plus. There are very many more who don't.
Don't begrudge those who have more than yourself. It is unbecoming and very British!
The more they have, the more tax they pay, the more they pump into society. Some of the richest people in the world, are philanthropists. Gates is slowly but surey transferring 98% of his wealth to 'worthy causes'.
Why should anyone be ashamed of their 'wealth'........it's what they do with it that counts.

RCGL2 - My bad, yes - once NM goes it will be 5 out of 9. Still a majority refresh.
Bozi - IMO, NM will exit left. He is not going to sit around watching Solg change direction (for the better) after all he has done, with his hands tied behind his back and tape over his mouth!
He will committ less and less, we will never hear from him after end of march and he will spend his remaining days with DGR et al.
Haven't I read somewhere recently that NM is retiring for health reasons?

Just think about the following before you reply:
The BoD has been transformed over the last year. It 'may' have been at the behest of CGP, but whatever triggered it - it happened under the 'new' BoD.
RNS's are now more informed and accurate. The wording is measured and more importantly - accurate.
The latest MD and A was well written with a solid plan for the whole of the catchment are that Solg owns, prioritising different tenements.
The PFS has been delayed because its previous incarnation was completely ineffectual - the new one will be much more appropriate and show massive improvements in design and costs.

ALL of the above has happened since the new BoD arrived. The AGM was the vehicle they used to usher in these changes, funnelling the fault through the perpetrator......NM.
Tensions must have been building for months, you could see this in Liam Twiggers face as he chaired the AGM.
NM is in a very uncomfortable if not untenable position now and I expcet him to quietly fade into the background and watch his investments from a distance.

I have renewed faith in this BoD.
I expect (possibly even demand):
Good assays from Porvenir.
News of more financial support from a third member.
News from the government that mining is being fast tracked.

And eventually that Solg has a new partner onboard.

figure this out:

Solg cannot do this alone. This is a fact. They are too insignificant. What WILL happen, is that they will have to sell a large part of their equity (shares OR royalties OR debt repayments) to someone.
A bank won't fund the whole process because Solg don't have any assets to speak of (yet, until they are mined). The bank may fund a portion of the process but it will be marginal.
Only a major, or a Finance house will fund this. When (not IF) this happens, the lender will demand a portion of the company. I call this a farm in or a JV. Either way, it will appear painful on paper initially but it is the ONLY way for Solg to move forward.
I love the idea of a processing plant as a part of the 'new' Schedule of Works'. It will (over time) make more money for the JV. But it costs...processing plants can cost hundreds of millions to build. I already believe the venture will cost the JV atleast $3 to £5 billion to construct first a processing planthen an open pit and finally a block cave.
Aruaz has increased the chances of a processing plant being built and would therefore make this whole process even more attractive to a third party.
In summary - Solg is going to be diluted significantly if it is to see light at the end of the (stoping) tunnel! It cannot do this alone - impossible.
Our only hope is that it happens quickly before the next GE in Ecuador ffs!!!
Maybe my dream will come true after all?

Bozi - I think you'll find that 4 out of the 8 BoD's are 'new' (over the last 6 to 9 months). At the end of March it will be 5 out of 8 as NM exits stage left! So we do have and very much will have a majority fresh BoD. This is why there has been a considerable change in the way the business has been run, I am sure you will have noticed this?
The management team is much the same (ish) - probably a bit top heavy if you ask me.
Who do you think introduced the complete restructuring of the PFS and the mine design? Wasn't the 'old school'.

A chinese consortium has bought 50% of the Cascabel cadistre for a farm in agreement of $200m.
They will pay for the DFS and initial open pit earthworks. At the start of production a decision will be made by both parties to continue with a block cave construction for a further buy in cost by Solg of 25%.
Shares open @ 28p rising to 50p by easter. SP Angel note with a SP @ production of £3.

Tymers - IF...if bitcoing followers use bitcoin as a currency, then buying a condo/car with bitcoin on day one, could end up trying to sell condo/car in the future at a massive change in value. IE, you buy a condo for 10 bitcoins valued at $50,000 each = $500k house. 5 years later, bitcoin could be worth $20,000 each. It could go the other way...but would users be prepared to take the risk?
You..."the masses" are NOT talking about blockchain, you "the masses" are talking about crypto currencies...make your mind up???
Do you want to talk about a digital coin called bitcoin which is a crypto currency...OR do you want to talk about blockchain which has nothing to do with currency or bitcoin?
Blockchain is a distributed ledger, which logs transactions securely.
Take some time out to research it......fascinating...much more so than BC or ethereum et al....;)

Says it all really.

The US has (Janet Yellen) has confirmed they can't control bitcoin....but they WILL control institutions that use it.
The chinese government sees it as a commodity, not a currency and again (like the us) will control those who use it.
The EU are also regulating bitcoin users.
There is no getting away from it...bitcoin is and will be a casualty of its own success.

Question for bitcoin users:
How can you use bitcoin as a currency?
Can you buy a condo with it? Yes. Can you buy a car with it? ...probably
So what is the problem?
The problem is that when you buy something with bitcoin.......a week. a month, a year later, it could be half its value! Bitcoin is too volatile to use on a daily basis for this very reason.

Wisen up bitcoin users - you aren't using them...you are hoarding them....for what reason? When will be the right time to 'spend' your digits?

Perleeeze don't respond by telling me they know FA. They certainly have more information at hand than you ever will. So it is reasonable to assume they could be onto something - yes?

My 'dear diary' is subject to change...it is fluid...it consists of a list of dates that have been pulled from sources such as Solg, Brokers, II's.
I would be eternally grateful if you would furnish me with more accurate data, so that I can amend my 'diary'.

Finally .....something's afoot. The TSX closed 13+% up yesterday for Solg, this is on top of our 8% here. Might there be news on Monday....if so, what might it be. Perhaps the diary points to such an event.
On a final note....just to ram it home....IF Solg go it alone (gawd the thought sends shudders up my spine), there is no way on earth that Alpala will be producing on a commercial scale until 2027 at the earliest.......
IMO, however - if they JV with a giant...I'm going for 2025.

Everyone on here except Smickster will have gone by then and tried to claim their lives back!

Smick - if its confirmation bias you rely on...keep ticking up the good news posts. This stock is way past good or bad news to be honest. It festers low level while the rest of the world gets on with it.
By anyone's imagination, this has been a dog of a share for donkeys years! After 7 years...F.A. has happened, in fact this stock has failed to gain traction above 40p since 2017 ffs!
Surely you have to ask why????
I'll tell you why:
1. Ecuador.
2. NM. (no mining plans, no CFP....no idea!).
3. Ecuador.

Now that NM is out the door, we appear to have a plan finally and managment are getting their sh8t in their sock as the old guard are ushered out.
Ecuador however remains the playground. ALL news...good and bad needs to be researched and absorbed because this is the remaining stumbling block now. April 11th will be the catalyst for more traction if Aruaz wins and hopefully a major will then step fwd and do the humane thing and put Solg out of its misery (and us) and dispose of Solg once and for all!
Because mark my words for all the hard work NM has put into Ecuador above the surface, he has done FA underground @ Cascabel. A major does this for a living and will expedite matters once they take control.
Are you going to tell me that you only want to read about good news? And that anyone who posts news that is negative towards the company...is a troublemaker. Grow up.
Shall we keep it a secret that if Perez gets into power, we could be well and truly f*cked?
At the very least he might further delay mining developments while he re-appraises them (and remember we haven't dug the first sod yet - anywhere in Ecuador). At worst - he could renage on previous deals.
Maybe he will suddenly convert and abandon his followers and become "one of us"? PMSL.

When people invest their hard earned cash - there is a golden rule: DYOR. This means good and bad news. You know that, we all know that. So why are you so offended when you see it in print?
