Call output15 Oct 2025 18:06
Folks, outline of what was covered on todays 35 min call. 3 of the NESF management team attended , inc Steve Rosser who most may be familiar with. Was pleasantly surprised as I expected a 121 with the IR lead Peter Hamid
Rather than going down a single rabbit hole on a particular subject . I approached this from a higher level, to get a personal feel for what NESF are currently doing and areas of interest, plus whether I should remain a shareholder.....
Areas touch upon;
Current SP - attributed to move from the FTSE250 to the 350
Divi - covered from operations not asset sales
FSFL approach - not in the best interests of shareholders
Buyback - not having enough impact on the SP/NAV, so paused
Growth/ NAV - more information to come "perhaps at the next scheduled update", once the ongoing strategic review is complate and the new chair is in place. Also how NESF tap in to the gov's 2030 goals, part of the strategic review
**My one ask of the management was for improved shareholder comms, with more focus of what they are doing re growth, technology, inovation and more Q&A sessions. This should give those with more knowledge in certain areas to ask the more in depth questions inc finance :-) **
Net net, mgmt are running the show, Im a shareholder without the deeper knowledge of how the business / accounting rules are implemented under the hood. This seems to be open to peoples interpretation (not saying this is right or wrong).
However I did come away from the meeting feeling that my ask landed around improved communications/transparancy and that in turn should build better investor confidence.
So, will remain invested and await to see what comes of the strategic review and how comms improves
