The shorters can force the share price down, but the business is solvent (albeit in need a capital top up) and is profitable and growing. The shorters do not have any control over whether the business is a going concern.

You are confusing MTRO which is a growing profitable business against a low margin loss making business with too much debt like IRV. Look at the BV of assets of MTRO and tell me whether it has more value than £0.9bn.

Not sure if that is their ulterior motive, but 12 II shareholders own more than 95% of the shares. I doubt Hill will be interested in acquiring the remaining 5% of shares at a discount.

Metro's placing will be done at market value, the ii's behind it are ultra HNW and will not allow such a ridiculous dilution.

There are clowns on the other forum thinking this will get to £6 for the RI. The ii's on this are seriously HNW to allow that to happen.

I don't think the RI will be at much of a discount, Vernon has wealthy mates who will pay up. Look at the RI from last July, that was at market value. I would not look at the KIE RI, that was a one off and events like that are unlikely to happen here.e

Some people still expecting a discounted placing. This sp has lost 1.3bn of mkt cap for want of 0.35bn of additional capital, even BoA have seen how much a bargain this is and have come on board. This time next year all would have been forgotten and most new entrants would have doubled their money.

To be honest, I blame the CFO, where the fook is he and why is he not buying the shares? Any numbers and reporting is clearly his responsibility.
