KAZ: never seen a share from 1400p to 80p and back up to 1100p in such a short period of time. Always wanted to buy, but never had the balls.

was looking at Lonmin at 44 before christmas, look at it now. Am kicking myself.

Can you imagine how many stop losses this thing triggered on the way down, a lot of capital was lost and captured by the shorters, wont see that capital again until we see more positive news.

I doubt we will get back to 1200p in 6 weeks without any new developments. These shares are quick to fall -60%, but slow to rise back up.

Have faith, look at the BT share price. The came back from 70p.

Agree with your synopsis, which is why it is a good idea to buy at these low levels for people wanting exposure to a stock. Buy low sell high. This time next year the sp will be 50% up atleast.

My PFC, INTU, PFG also going up. Looks like the shorts have given up there as well.

Wish they would push the price back up with the same violence they put it down.

This thing should not have dropped by almost 60%. Should have dropped no more than 35-40%. Disgusting what the shorts have done aided and abetted by CG.

I wish in future they would provide more analysis on their trading income in relation to hedging income/loss. I think this is critical for any investor to know, since if they get this wrong it can have a massive impact on the P&L due to their punters large notional positions.

2) The mistake did not require a restatement and reissue of their PY accounts since there was no misrepresentation of P&L or BS. This is a storm in a tea cup. This is just a excuse for hedge funds to short this to death.

I do not see the hedging as an issue since over the medium term this should be a net nil or slight net positive if a lot of mug punters. You have to remember buying and selling shares has a net nil impact on the market it is just moving money around.

Shorters can short, but fundamentals will prevail. I hope they burn over the next few days. Plus thanks for the 10k in dividends.

Both relatively solid companies going through a rough patch. These shorters are just looking for any excuse. I will never buy a profit warning/downgraded stock within 5 days of the announcement. It is just throwing money away to the shorts. MTRO, PLUS, ASC, I was down over £50k in each of them due to my over eagerness. These are stocks I will hold atleast for the medium term.

This should never have breached £10. At one point I was down £50k (I don't like stop losses). I hope the shorts burn today!
