Firstly i am not an expert but i have taken a keen interest in mining shares for around 15 years. I did reasonably well from Mariana - this was a great gold mining company but took ages to budge. so my rationale is based upon: Debt levels, gold production costs, life of mine and annual oz mined. there will always be questions about future exploration costs, funding for future mines and of course Covid. My feeling is that gold will be hitting 2000 dollars plus. IMHO

Have not posted on LSE for a while. bought in again as it dropped to around 2.5p. going long here. i have bought and sold AAU over the years because it never moved much. Still v surprised why it is still hanging around at these levels. i cant think of a better small cap gold producer. can anyone else?

so I am looking at this again. It seems that we are back to where we were prior to the sheikh, although with a bigger mcap. Dan - I recall that you were always cautious about the long term. Are you holding/looking to buy more?

One of the major concerns with AIM shares is dilution. With this share, there is v little risk of this given the payments received etc. Therefore v happy to hold. we have seen that it does not take much for this to move upwards. The RNS yesterday was significant but punters are waiting for Newmont to provide more detail.

No significant update. More waiting. Ouch. Will rerate at some point but may head south in the interim. Come on , get on with it

this was 10p plus last year. since then there has been no dilution and today there has been a v promising RNS. stay long. 20 mill cap soon.

Stulaw. I hope you are right. The current share price feels like a no brainer. But given the position i am in, its hard to get excited. Like many posters have said, its all about the results now.

The price is where it is because of the constant dilution at give away prices. The last one was a kick in the balls. This share is jam tomorrow. I owned almost 1% of this company before the dilution. The trust has been lost, that is the problem

you are all here for this reason - irrespective of your views. ramp, deramp or no view. you just cant keep away. :p

+ve: the grades are actually outstanding, this should never have got to 3p anyway. things appear to be moving now
-ve: this is probably worth about 10p at present.

We need more news before we can think about 10p+
having said that, we were 12p plus around this time last year.

will be selling my remaining 50%. I may be getting this completely wrong. 7 mill cap and its only 2p ish. before we get our licenses back it might even be £40 mill cap and 2.5p. who knows?
may sound crazy but the risk-reward felt better before all the changes.

not being funny but I think Art could have raised that through a placing. he has raised almost the same amount in the last few years.

by the reaction. immediately I thought there had been a placing. SO just to reiterate - THERE HAS BEEN NO PLACING.
the RNS is nothing unexpected. What I will say is that the BOD ALWAYS deliver RNS on time and have been always upfront. the updates are in line with what they promised. This is a rarity on AIM.

what else was the market expecting?

money left in the bank? is the market expecting a placing?

people getting nervous because they were expecting results by now. if you were planning to sell on the (pre-strike) euphoria then you had better get out. If you are genuinely positive about the outcome then hold. GLA.

was not expecting to see 2p without news. No complaints whatsoever. lots going on in the background. we will know exactly what months later....perhaps. AND after the share price has moved.

as I have mentioned before, I have a sizeable chunk. my views:

- the placing (as you all agree) was an absolute disgrace. the placing price was a joke and the warrants was probably even worse. AW - you are a disgrace; shame on you.

- the company that has bought in seems to be a strategic investor - my feeling is they are looking at a medium-long term investment. this is good

- the mcap is still promising and I think it is still undervalued given that we should be in profit in the coming months.

- dare I say, this should be the last placing. I think the hope is that it is trading at multiples in the near future so the warrants can be excised and provide funding for new projects.

overall - v angry with the turn of events but happy that all the bad news is out the way. I don't believe that this will go below placing price. GLA
