Plus im guessing if Brokers don't offer US stock holdings, they will need to be sold and bought back thorough a broker that does?. Will then need to take the hit on their exchange rate they charge in dealing in international stocks when we buy back 😞

Bhants. The UK market was closed when US cruise stocks took a hammering yesterday. I suspect we are just catching up now we are open. If its sector specific sentiment, people arbitrage across all peers, so if one gets out of kilter you often see it catch up (in either direction).

I've been watching prices on Carribean cruises really plummet recently. Given there are currently US agents flogging 7 night Carribean cruises on Sun Princess next week for £164 (admittedly inside cabins) I struggle to see how much profit they can make on this destination at uht moment. This is not an isolated sailing either, there are a glut of cheap sailings over the next 3 months on various lines.

There is no such thing as Free Stuff Badger. .. we are paying for it in the price tag 😄

I'm on Iona in 2.5 weeks. But taking my elderly father who only eats bland food so I'm now expecting it to be a big hit 🤣

It's an interesting one isn't it... the dilemma we face as shareholders and also customers. With one hat we want good food at low prices, on the other we want low costs and increased profits.

I guess given traveller numbers are up, there is little incentive for any of them to spend more on food costs as what they are offering seems to be bringing on the passengers.

Some interesting news out from Miami . Could have a massive impact on the port with their fuel source sold off to developers. All lines seem to coming together given the risk.

They insure up to 80 years old.

Yes, You could be right there AParky. Sort of makes sense as you were a customer of 'P&O Princess group' pre 2015 when there was fungibility between schemes. They obviously don't highlight this perk very clearly to new customers. Good spot.

I don't think that's usually the case anymore. They are now very different loyalty schemes unless you have a historical connection to both, which given its the first Princess cruise don't think applies here.

Not wishing to worry you, and I'm certainly not a tax expert, but I think you may be doing your tax wrong?

According to HMRC website you don't calculate CGT that way if you have acquired multiple purchases of the same stock over time.
