Average daily vol will be a real cap on their activity to start with. Buyback volumes will increase over time if there are sufficient sellers but to start the cap is quite low.

I doubt they will be able to buyback a full amount by 31/12 without some larger holder exiting. Average vol per day is limited as is price they can pay by average preceeding price.

If they get 50% of the target off the open market they will be doing well.
So, cash reserves may not be much depleted and available for other returns in 2021.

If this can't be held down for more accumulation to occur, but I think some might try, a bid could happen all the sooner rather than see the opportunity run away from the acquirer. They won't want to pay any higher than necessary.

I think DBAY have a network of support we can't even dream about and can do all sorts of clever things. This moved on pretty low volumes given the float onf 90M+ so either there's not much stock for sale at an acceptable price to the buyers in the face of better demand or the price is being manipulated to help keep it down until someone big has enough shares. I do think it could pop up nicely towards 60p.

If DBAY want to.buy this as cheap as possible they might want to get a move on.

New money needs to come in on the prospect of capital appreciation through a change of ownership. This company has lost its mojo by the looks of the recent events and share price performance. I'm still on the opinion the float is way too high and that doesn't help, combined with an sp that smells of a rubbish small cap speculative stock that puts some potential investors off.

That raises a few more questions as to why not announced and why the acquirer isn't buying in the market low but there are answers that might explain including contract prior to DD.
