I have to admit, if I had rambling posters with no back story popping up with abuse on my LinkedIn story, I would seek to remove them too. It’s not a bulletin board. It’s a credible place to share information.

Matt has shown via Jamie, that if credible people with back stories, post constructive criticism, he will leave it up. I acknowledge that that might not have been the case in the past, which is why some are banned.

It looks like all posters without back stories are removed…..as another poster, who applauded Jamie has also gone….

Matt will likely just ignore Harriet, as he will probably (wrongly?) assume that she’s a fake profile, created by someone he’s already been blocked.

Fundamentally nothing has changed and I too believe that value will out eventually.

It’s no secret that I believe that Matt is the right person to lead THG, but hearing all the criticism of him, has led to me thinking that a more vocal chair should speak for the company rather than Matt. Investor relations also need to improve. The M&S model for comms is a good template.

I do agree with others that buying a giant plastic (presumably) gorilla is a strange thing to do, especially if we have paid for it. I actually think it looks quite aggressive…..But maybe I’m too old to appreciate it…..

Make no mistake, his prime position at THG’s Manchester tech campus, has meaning.

I often find inspiration in odd places. For years I’ve seen these sculptures at the top of mountains in Courchevel, France while on family ski trips (see pics). And so for years I’ve debated getting one at THG’s offices....

Well, we’ve just overhauled the main reception at our Manchester Tech campus, making it more “THG” and less bland corporate - and so of course we had to create a space for Wild Kong.

But while it’s nice to be reminded of ski holidays when coming to work each day, that’s not why Kong is at THG. Nope. He’s speaking volumes to the thousands of staff and visitors that come to our offices every day.

We all see different things. To some people Wild Kongs look out of place on snowy mountains (maybe like me with the dwindling City 🤣). After all, these sculptures need to be helicoptered into position (see comments).

But to me they fit just perfect when sat on top of the world, or in THG's reception.

The message is clear - not only do we stand our ground at THG, but we're a force to be reckoned with.....

Recent rises were fuelled by Lingotto buying a 5%+ stake and a rumour that Amazon is interested. I personally doubt the latter.
