No idea what the link to Minecraft might be….apart from a licensing deal. But I’m not surprised to see him back, as I can’t believe the “bang” he referenced was the trading update.

Joshua didn’t mention Glanbia Nutrition for the first time in a very long time.

Myprotein growing rapidly in the retail, offline market will no doubt be concerning Glanbia…as will the statement that MyProtein is the fastest growing sports nutrition brand across UK retailers. Extending retail distribution by over 1000 stores is pretty strong

Agreed Cong. If the plan is to list (anything) in the US and the plan is known to the II’s, it would explain why no one is encouraging him to refrain from posting or tone-down his posting on LinkedIn.

That last bit from Joshua, about the US 🇺🇸 not being phased by MM’s commentary on LinkedIn, as opposed to the UK 🇬🇧 Media, financial & business worlds hating it, is really interesting. Maybe he is playing to his audience after all….

I’ve said it before, but will say it again…

If you are waiting for MM to be de-throned, then I think your chances are slim, as like if it not, I still believe he has the backing of most II’s, who know that patience is key. They also have the funds to stay the long haul. I also believe that in the majority, they believe MM is still the right person to run the show, as do I.

I also now think that a take-private deal is more unlikely than ever. I mean, if you were planning that, why would you share the details of a broker report, that tells you what you’re likely to miss out on in the future, if you sell your shares now. So, I feel like the future is likely to be partnerships and spin-offs, under MM’s rule.

Personally I have locked my shares away and like a couple of others, am happy to wait 5 years plus, if necessary, for what I believe will be big returns.

Just one point…Based on historic norms, the TU was not late….in fact it was on time, it was the results that were early.

Results & TU were delivered together on 18/4/22 and 21/4/23. This time we got results in 10/4/24 and the TU on 23/4/24.

My personal belief is that they are drip feeding better news, to try and have a positive impact on the share price…

Interesting mention on the call about chocolate….

Someone has replied to Matt on LinkedIn saying “bring back the hotel chocolate bars” and Matt has replied “they’re coming”.

Hotel Chocolate are now under Mars ownership, so it would be nice to think that one of the partnerships could be with Mars…

I’m definitely left wondering if the aborted plans to float Beauty (announced in media Sept 21, to float in 2022) are actually just delayed, until they’ve recovered from Covid etc., to get the valuation they want.

They are servicing almost all global brands and Matt said he could talk more freely about it than nutrition (due to competition). So, I see a long list of potential shareholders, all of whom will want to protect their supply chain…..

Including:

Nutrition - good quality partnerships to come, launching products in categories not currently in. Mentioned Flavouring and Chocolate. Success in licensing greater than expected. Offline sales carefully curated to ensure no cannibalism of online. Awareness of MyP brand 52% from 48%.

Ingenuity- new clients on board basically because they offer the best service than brands can provide themselves, including a 12.30am cut off for orders & 30% of trading done after 10pm. Enabled Whitestuff to reenter German market.

Beauty - operating with most global brands. Building an ecosystem via app and once customers work through the tiers, they buy 5, 6 or 7 times as much product. Biossance contribution was in low single digit (of 11% growth).

It was a good call in my view and I’m more than happy with progress and continuing to hold.
