George Frangeskides, Exec-Chair at Alba Mineral Resources, discusses grades at the Clogau Gold Mine. Watch the full video here.
Things on here can't be expressed in a somewhat less acrimonious manner. The same points could be made in a more civilised way. For example, Mr Moon COULD have just said, "The price of iron ore is surely a bit academic while we are not actually mining". Then Max could have pointed out the mechanism for hedging. Then, above all, we could have avoided a rather unpleasant "What a tsssr" comment. The same things can be said in a far less confrontational way.
I'm just picking up on the point that one or two have made earlier about not being able to get a quote. I notice that, as of now, there seem to have been no trades at all today. I had to check to see if the markets were open. It's a bank holiday here in Scotland, but not apparently with you in England.
This is not the best board I have participated in over my spectacularly unsuccessful "career" on AIM. Two I remember well where the camaraderie was amazing. In the second one of those (SGZ) even our resident cynic/"de-ramper" was treated with respect, even affection. UFO has not been this overall pleasant experience. But, nonetheless, I think the vast majority of people on here are decent enough, despite differences of opinion over the way we've travelled and the way we might travel. So, best wishes to you all for 2024.
With you all the way on that one, pebsi. I used to have a modest portfolio of FTSE100 companies, and years ago decided to try something a little bit more adventurous - AIM. God strewth! In all honesty, not only should I have stuck with the big, "boring" companies, but I reckon my overall return over 15 years or so would have been greater if I'd stuck the money in a Post Office Savings Account.
Look, I went over this only last week. It has been scientifically proven that sheep are amongst the most intelligent of animals. I have several friends who are sheep farmers or shepherds, and they'll tell you the same.
How many of us have experienced in our own lives an announcement on the 27th of the month that the CEO will be leaving on the 31st? if this is - as seems highly likely - connected with the Bluejay debacle of last week, then we can maybe take something positive from this, inasmuch as the Board has acted firmly.
I haven't actually totted them up, wents, but just glancing at the Buys v Sells this morning there is absolutely no reason for any further slippage. I imagined that, being a slow day before the Christmas break, the change today would be 0%. As someone pointed out yesterday, as if it wasn't bad enough having mms playing games in the past, now we have to suffer bloomin' algorithms playing games.
Terrible day. The bird table has broken. I watched some sparrows earlier, clinging on for dear life to the peanut feeders like a ride at Alton Towers. I've only lost a few more thousand pounds since this morning. The birds have now lost their place to eat.
Yes, a funny old day. I think you can bring out, dust off and use the word "febrile" when the number of posts in 'Chat' far exceeds the number of 'Trades'. It's the reason that UFO really IS going to be my Last Hurrah on AIM. Once I've made a reasonable return here I'm out of AIM for good. After a decade and a half I cannot take any more of this nonsense.
