Well, nookie and reaction, I have always shied away from those people who accuse it of being a "lifestyle company". Why on earth would anyone run a "lifestyle company", I've always thought. But I'm beginning to wonder. Maybe if you can keep getting suckers to fund you to do nothing apart from draw your salaries, it's not such a bad business proposition.

The discussion on this board amuses me. I dip in now and again. But if an even more occasional visitor, like Rip van Whatsisname, was to drop in here and read the comments he'd be forgiven for asking "Which year are we in? 2022? 2025? 2038?"

whether its mms, shorters, the bod, vlad the impaler or the ghost of tony han****, there's no dispute that it is now beyond tedious. for months and years we have had nothing but "good news", the share price takes off for a few hours and then "terraces" or "retraces" (take your pick, it's all the same). i'm beaten into thinking that it'll probably be the same from now until the end of time.

That when the news is announced of a JV with a major we will actually have two consecutive days of blue. But sadly, after all these false dawns, I'm just about resigned to seeing one day of blue followed by at least three or four of red. Even if Jesus Christ himself signed off the RNS it would still only give us a one-day sp uplift.

I am hoping that we can hold here or hereabouts and not see the all-too-familiar UFO pattern of one blue day being followed by six consecutive red days.

I'm a long-time (and long-suffering) holder. To be perfectly honest, I nowadays haven't a clue what my average is, but it's got to be nearer 1p than 0.50. But I would much rather see slow but steady increments in the sp (maybe with the odd +25% thrown in) than the chaos of a 500% spike. Slow and steady would give me a much better strategy of how much to sell and when in order to break even or hopefully make a small profit... at last! I got caught out in one of those sudden "gone to the moon" frenzies elsewhere a few years ago and dithered in selling, which meant that an investment that was worth over £200k one week was only worth £70k the next.

Just have, cj. As, it appears, have others. At the moment he's just carrying on.

MrEMC2, trading is not for many of us. You've got to have nerve, single-mindedness (not to say ruthlessness) and, above all, the time and technology to be at multiple screens non-stop for 10 hours a day. I lost money hand over fist when I tried it in my amateurish way many years ago, desperately scrabbling here and there to make up losses by selling and buying will-nilly. It's not for the likes of me, who buys something, takes the dog out for a walk, and finds the stock has lost 10% since I went out.

Heartfelt sympathy, HH. Many of us will remember how we were sold the Brave New Electronic World as opening up vistas of rest and relaxation from work. But, as I was saying to someone only yesterday, even those of us who are retired seem to spend at least 10% (on a bad day, 90%) of our time sorting out some problem or other caused by the technology. My latest one - trivial, but irritating and time-consuming nonetheless - is to try and work out why I "participated" in a Teams meeting at which no-one could hear a word I said, even though the icon clearly showed my mic as unmuted.

Whatever, 5x5, but it needs to be stopped. While this is going on it's going to stifle real buyers and sellers, because no-one's got a clue what's going on.

What's happened is that March ended yesterday, and April began today.

I haven't made a single comment all week. But I had a feeling that this is more or less where we would end up. I feel sorry for those who leapt in at 0.12 on Wednesday. I expect - certainly hope! - that they will break even, and better. But if they are newcomers then they have joined those of us who know all too well that this is a (very) slow grind rather than a rocket ship.

Did we get an answer to the question that someone posed a week or so ago, asking who this "boutique bank" is that's supposedly handling things for us? (Whatever a "boutique bank" is). One would obviously not expect a breach of commercial confidence to the extent of revealing with whom they are negotiating, but I don't see that confidentiality is necessary around who the company's professional advisers are. It would just give a bit more confidence that this "boutique bank" actually exists.
