I know I'm pretty hopeless at this investing lark. But I'd have thought that people buying in "big chunks" is what we want. Many of us, surprisingly, would like to see the sp driven UP. Not continuously going down so that we can buy more and more, little and often. Like I say, I don't get this investing at all. I thought in my naivety that the idea was to see a gain.

A year or two ago, pebsi, I thought I was being stupid thinking to myself that I'd top up again if we ever went as low as 0.25. I thought that really was being unduly pessimistic.

I do try to keep a sense of humour, bobsson, so despite it all I'll say it again. Forget any "smaller mining company", there aren't too many players in the Premier League who couldn't more than match the present market cap.

You may be right, cj. But the essence of my comment stands. Haven't these people got shopping to do, library books to take back, logs to saw, voluntary work, dogs to walk... ? Or even in the case of younger ones, jobs to do?!

I've never understood this " have you sold out" or "never even been invested" line really. What sort of person would it be that really has nothing else to occupy their time day after day, week after week, than comment on a share that they don't hold?

I've mentioned before that as a retiree I often come on here later in the morning than many. And I have a rule of thumb. If I see a symbol for a UFO RNS I always say to myself "Oh, that'll be red then". I cannot remember the time I was ever wrong.

If I had a fiver for every time someone has preached to us about being patient, the sum I'd have in a fistful of fivers would be more than the sum I've got left in my UFO investment.

So many angry people bombarding an AGM that it's had to be held with a police presence. And has it made any difference to the BOD? Not by as much as one millimetre.
