Muel, full field development is more like 5bn barrells of oil and Shorecan will have 30% of the field if nothing changes from the preliminary talks. Also oil and gas have already been found and loads of siesmic data has been collected. So they know where to drill especially as they have been analysing the data for the last 3 years.

Mr P, That would be worth 5p a share just on that sale alone. Lets hope Shell are interested.

When the new deal is agreed legally then Essar M has 90% and Shorecan 10%. Shorecan then have the option to buy a further 20% after the first well is drilled. However, now that Shorecan are in a stronger position financially we may be able to negotiate a larger percentage.

Currently Essar M has 20% and Shorecan 80%.

As for the situation now. Then COPL have the expertise to find the oil. Shoreline provide the Nigerian incumbent. Essar are providing the money and probably the rig and contractors as they have billions of pounds.

Essar Mauritius had the original licence for OPL226 offshore Nigeria. Essar M got into financial difficulties with their steel business in India and sold 80% of OPL226 to Shorecan. Shorecan is a partnership bewteen COPL and Shoreline. Shoreline is a Nigerian company. The split is 50/50. Also Essar M fell out with the Nigerian government. I think that is fairly correct.

People who post on a board about a share that they are not invested in must have mental health issues. Why would you waste any time in your short life on planet earth commenting on a share that you are not going to benefit from in any way whatsoever. I would really like to sit these people down and question them for the sake of medical research.

Expecting respect and communication are what I would describe as old honest values. Modern mentality is when you expect something for nothing and being a liar. This could all be cleared up with some decent honest communication from Arthur M.
