I can't not buy it back. The FOMO would kill me. But I have been trying (not terribly successfully) to de-risk my holding when I can. Every now and again I've been buying the dips and selling on the rises just to make up for the fact that I came into Synairgen late. I have learned its best - for me - to get into a stock early - to pay what John has called 'wholesale prices' - I guess some of the goldies are at that stage at the moment - BTC as well . I should buy a few gold miners and Argo now and hold for whenever that potential is realised. Which could be quite a long hold.

Sold at 153.60. Acc to contract note it was 13.41pm. So not AM then!
Bought back again for 143.30 at 15.53pm.

I have such a small-ish holding it probably wasn't worth the bother - but I see it as an exercise really - just trying to feel my way around the whole business of buying and selling.

Why do I think they will fail Activ2? I really hope they won't. It is only a guess regarding the efficacy of the drug on hospitalized vs non-hospitalized patients. Something I picked up from reading today's RNS. But I haven't read the Active 2 data/criteria to know what kind of analysis and what kind of statistical outcome counts as a 'pass'.

I'm probably wrong. But even if I'm not perhaps it doesn't matter - if I was smarter or knew more about pharma and finance, I would be able to calculate the value of Synairgen if it failed Activ 2 but produced wonderful results from its own P3.

Looks like the buying opp is turning up today. I sold half my Synairgen this morning once I thought they might fail Activ but win after Sprinter. However sp sinking atm.

I think Matterhorn once posted the links to the Active 2 rules or protocols - pages and pages of stuff on PDFs. The answer might be in there. You'll have to scroll through his old posts to find the link. Good luck if you decide to read it.

Do you think they are a bit over-confident/arrogant? Not uncommon amongst Drs and academics. Less common, I think, amongst corporates.

Also interesting to see how many people on the BB are obsessed about US Active 2 progression - whereas Synairgen themselves - as far as I understand the RNS - are more interested in the severely ill hospitalized cohort. Bad news re Active 2 would knock the sp right down - great buying opp would emerge before Synairgen get the EUA for the more severely ill cohort. Which might be more likely than success in Active 2. Or perhaps they are desperate to get the EUA for the severely ill before the bad news on Active 2 comes out?

Was/is their trial design incorrect? Or very different from what other pharmas do? Do we know why Synairgen chose to trial in many different countries - no good reason for it at all?

Well it looks like merger passed at meeting I might have got it wrong (see link below). Don't know how long it will take to issue an official statement, which should impact the sp. You can buy now as the spac DMY iii or wait till Oct 1 when - now merged - it opens as IonQ on NYSE. DMY iii actually down a few percent today. Might be different in a day or two - a lot of excitable US net chatter because IonQ is a great hope of quantum computing. I'm hoping for at least 10-15% over the next few days.

Thanks for that. I still like HE1. And Johns minerals/goldies - Radisson, Arizona Metals - will add Roscan at some point. FAR if it slides over the next few weeks. If funds permit.

'stop gap'. For sure if MABs turn out to be a massive fail - thats sad for human beings but potentially good for Synairgen. Even if MABs don't fold in on themselves, as long as Synairgen get good results, Syn has a future. Surely? The size of that future....I leave that to wiser heads to calculate.
