could see interest rates/inflation issues being a concern if you had six/seven figure sums tucked away in glencore or bp. if you got a few grand in SAR - can't imagine its worth losing that much sleep over.

I will buy some more when it dips, once recent news has been forgotten. I have a small holding here - planning to sell half if it bags (they are news-making) and keep the rest in case they do a huge deal in about 2 years time.

Presumably 'titanic dreams' refers to luxury/size of promised goal and not to watery fate. Anyway we just had 2 great RNS's - and a reminder, yesterday, that perhaps you don't need to worry if sp dips a bit - a rise follows.

also enjoying SAR today - nice RNS (I believe). SAR either good price, slightly over-priced or on the verge of t/o and big re-rate. I have no idea which.

I was just going to ask if anyone - who can see the patterns in the trades - can detect an institution buying in - an RNS re a TR-1 like that would be great - should put a nice floor under the sp.

nor are polygon suffering from merck issues.

'worth the bother'

A few of us sold the other day - I bought back as well, whole thing was hardly with the bother, from my perspective, for a few more shares but presumably Polygon, having bought a vast amount of new shares, couldn't now sell them quite so easily or quickly. So they must be in for a while? Can we assume they are not suffering from Activ 2 anxiety?

btw...I'm patient about SAR. I'm not excited about takeovers, secrets, pills etc. but I do like the connections that are appearing in the science -personally i don't mind if nothing much happens for 9-18 months - I wait.

but its a compelling theory re institutional sell-off. but even after a tr-1 some people will say 'oh institutions make mistakes' or they had to balance their risk or whatever - i imagine the game here just keeps on going. i suppose its all bit distasteful as its a health issue - but so be it.

fear/anxiety are powerful forces.
but it can be fun (and expensive) to stand up to them. which is one of things I have learned to enjoy in my brief investing career.
