Covid keeps changing. Even attenuation (gradual weakening) theory is contested by some Profs. There's enough uncertainty to drive a stockpile market - and enough illness to drive a 'use the thing' market.

I wonder about the harmless issue. Haven't researched it. So hard to be on top of everything. There are voices saying benign SA data from Guateng mean thats it - pandemic over - but even 'over' must have many nuances and elements - coming round to accepting that I don't know/won't know and will have to adapt an investment strategy that incorporates that 'don't know' element. Thanks for reply.

thanks for the reply. my gf hates vaccines and would rather not have them. only had them because she had to travel. anyway there's a possibility omnicron is the last variant - it might outcompete delta and be less dangerous in comparison - if that is the case the pandemic might be over. black swan event incoming!

you can go onto the second page and click on 'gauteng' to see hospitalization and death figures and see how omnicron is way lower than earlier variants. but i could be wrong - the SA data could be wrong.

however I do think its significant that omni may have peaked already in Guateng. It went up fast. Its gone down fast. and most people are alive and not in ICU. if that was replicated here it would be euphoric/positive etc. but we have a different demographic to SA etc etc etc. Still if those figures are reliable it means something.

This research makes me feel more bullish about syn, sar and val - if the spike keeps changing and these comps have products that bypass the spike then they are promising. I have syn and sar - time to buy back the val.

Thanks. Well we are waiting for more data from the science side of the Universe - but if mutations to the spike reduce the effectiveness of many current therapeutics - and not 1801 - that sounds very very promising. Even golden from a certain perspective.

I don't claim to be very intelligent. And I often get things wrong.. But can we say SDC-1801 would be spike agnostic - ie it wouldn't be stuffed by mutations in Covid spike - so if SDC-1801 works it would work as well for Delta as it did for Omni... scientists are beginning to clock that just as many vaccines are stuffed by Omni's mutations in the spike, so are many many therapeutics - but because SDC-1801 couldn't give a f*ck about the spike...so..if...well... boom????? Anyway just quick morning thoughts. Hope I'm right. Good weekend all.

It’s getting weird! Omni outguns the vaccines. Maybe also antivirals. Post omni we have what? Delta and Omni and whatever comes next? All at same time in different countries? I guess physicians will need wide menu of therapeutics for diff viruses with diff spikes? And at moment presume Syn may offer more potential than Mabs stuffed by Omni mutations? Sareum also looking promising then? Also wonder about US P3 comparing Syn to Regeneron. Why bother for Omni? Waste of time?
