I doubt it because the permit process is just working it's course. Here in Spain it not really a yes/no question. It's just about making parties happy along the way. The permission isn't so much given but the objections are overcome. Even a simple process appears complex but the reality is they have taken on local staff and earthworks are happening onsite. That in itself requires some authority compliance.

The objections will be overcome in the next few weeks I suspect

The Rong Lin Wan carrying the jet fuel appears to be diverted away from Malta to Rotterdam. It may be going on to Malta after or may have ship to ship with a Maltese bunker barge already in the western Mediterranean. The vessel carries much more than Malta's storage capacity.

It shows the critical condition of jet fuel in my opinion because Rotterdam supplies the UK and North Europe both of which are in danger currently. This is the last long range vessel carrying jet fuel for Europe.

With no volume departures from the middle east refineries and no indication of damage to production units it's hard to see how ends will meet without mass cancellations.

I sold out on this rise. The global news isn't convincing me.

It seems that trump backed down again and nothing has changed accept the withdrawal of his childish deadline.

The strait is open as it was yesterday under Iranian military control. We'll have to see if anything changes.

Iran has affirmed again that it had no nuclear ambitions so very little has changed. Iran says the ceasefire includes Lebanon and Israel says it doesn't.

Overall it looks like a further humiliation for trump who is finding out the hard way that he holds no cards.

It really doesn't matter if the strait opens today the world will run short of jet fuel. Very little is stored globally and the world is deficit directly on f around 40% of global supply. Then indirectly around 25%.

It's been ok for a month but it's going to bite. Transit to Europe is 6 weeks and if the strait opened today a 6 week rationing would be required to get through. Rationing would mean around 33% cancelled.

The issue is complex because fuel has to be available at both ends and that's going to be a massive problem.

Cancellations are inevitable and there will be very little control over which routes drop.

It's confirmed that the 2 weeks cancellation isn't relevant because it's deemed outside of their control.

Hotel cancellations aren't included in that so I suspect 2 weeks will be the standard anyway as the holiday company can't cancel an allocated room within 2 weeks without penalty

It's irrelevant who has fuel and who doesn't as ultimately the aircraft has to fly back and that needs fuel.

The UK normally has 6 massive tankers en route from the middle east at any given time. It's a 6 week journey.

The UK says it's ok as we get fuel from the Netherlands.... Yes but that's in Europe and Europe is already 80% in deficit.

US.... The US is an exporter and an importer. If it can't import will they continue to export? and realistically how much. The UK alone requires every mt of US exports so what about the rest of the world.

India..... India is using Russian crude again now, are the UK really going to buy that

Nigeria.... Yes at last a viable idea however the volume just isn't there for Nigeria and it has constant stops as it ramps up.

Ultimately the UK idea is to outbid shipments for other countries..... However when you fly to that country you still need fuel.

Looking at trumps claim about being able to supply the world with jet fuel is a complete lie. The US exports from the gulf of Mexico and the east coast refineries but imports into to west coast because it can't transport east to west efficiently. The west coast jet fuel was imported from south Korea and China. China has banned exports and south Korea is reliant on crude imports from the middle east. The US is in jet fuel deficit most likely already as 100% of refinery capacity is never achieved.

India buys russian oil and makes jet fuel that the UK buys but Ukraine are working on closing that abuse.

Restrictions and cancellations are inevitable now and the whole summer schedule along with the world cup will deeply affected.

Europe is short of jet fuel around 60% currently. That will deplete any storage very quickly.

Copper is well ahead of my expectations given the inevitable global collapse from the fuel prices and pending scarcity. Spain seems well positioned for diesel currently which is crucial to Atalaya. Most of Europe is a week or two away from rationing diesel.

We'll see how it goes from here but the A1 jet shortage is absolutely set in stone. If it ends today then there will be 3 or 4 weeks only of cancellations.

the maths is quite simple with 830000mt arriving in march that won't arrive in april and beyond.

the situation in europe is already tight especially away from the hubs. here in spain we are okay until the end of april. beyond there's currently nothing but whatever there is will be greatly reduced causing cancellations.

The US imports jet fuel from South Korea for the west coast. If you are believing anything that turd says then you'll find out the hard way. The US exports from the gulf of Mexico but that will go to the west coast as South Korea uses Murban to make A1.

The UK has a delivery from Nigeria and one from Saudi landing this week. After that nothing.

It's important to understand that fuel is needed at both ends of the journey, cancellations are 2+ weeks to avoid compensation so they have to know 100% that in 2 weeks there will be fuel in the UK and at the destination.

The UK is okay until week 1 May so week 3 April you'll see to he first cancellations.

The supply picture is very murky and Europe is short of around 70% of their normal supply. That's the best case scenario.

I think May week 2 onwards 75% of aircraft will be grounded.

Europe produces an absolute maximum of 200000 mt of A1. They need 6 times that amount.

Of course the government line is calm they don't want panic buying but diesel is also going to get very tight.

Yes me too. I guess it's now weeks until news so nothing near term. We know Q1 will be excellent. We know the current copper price is very positive.

Maybe we have to wait a bit but it's a good hedge against the current global disaster
