Over the years I have often said on this board that patience is a virtue. Africa moves to its own clock. Like many of us, I would have liked to have bought at a better price, but I have no thought of disinvesting and I never had the confidence to sell and expect to buy back cheaper for fear that the yet to happen surge would occur. It is like musical chairs. One day the music will stop and some will be caught without any shares.

It is hard when an old comrade goes, and it does rather remind one of one's own mortality. Many of us, I expect, will be in various stages of decrepitude but we can but plug on and make the best of what we have got. I still live in hopes that Kibo will blossom forth in my lifetime. Meanwhile it would be good to meet some LTH at some point. Keep posting. I always enjoy reading what you have to say.

It looks as though more shares being issued is the ultimate aim.

Likewise we shall miss the vouchers and the dividend. Still in Marstons and Shepherds Neame which both do a good discount and the Marstons dividend is very good and maintained so far.

Mind you Fridays are usually quiet days for Kibo, as I have often observed, but who knows, today could be an exception. Why not?

Off we go at last. Yaki is comfortably settled. And there are still the other projects.

Quite a day. Yaki's New declared holding seems to have stirred things up. His 33m share holding shows he at least is confident. That is a huge wodge of money which he has put in. Today 12m shares sold and 14m bought. A nice finish with 1m bought at 0.91, though offset by a sale of 800k. One can almost feel the electricity in the air.

The past decade has certainly had its ups and downs, with some fun as well nail biting moments. You may yet be attending the Kibo celebratory party with Miss Klaas on your arm.

That certainly makes more sense, in which case it suggests that there are some who realise that great news really is in the offing.

Despite better results the sp falters and the move to AIM will have caused many to sell. The adoption of the Best Western system should help. I regularly use a BW hotel when looking for somewhere to stay. My experience of staying with Peel has been positive, but big hotels can cause big problems

I would not begrudge LC a holiday. There is probably not much he can do now until Moz and Bots make long awaited decisions. Despite all the misgivings expressed on this board. I still have confidence in him, and think he is doing the best anyone could do in the circumstances. And who knows the Pres of TZ may yet realise that the Dam is a disaster in waiting.

Well there is at least one hopeful soul today who has had a little dabble and perked up the sp.

Not like you to be so gloomy. If it weren't for Wimbo's ongoing confidence I might have slunk away with burnt fingers. The fundamentals are still there as they ever were but it is Africa.

The other day I met a senior engineer working on a project in Egypt. In the course of conversation I mentioned the Stiegler Dam which an Egyptian company apparently is building. He chuckled. He had already been critical of his Egyptian colleagues. Some he said were good and committed but ,most of them were absent from work most of the time. He considered them arrogant, full of self importance and not as skilful as they held themselves out to be. He was not surprised that the Egyptians claimed that they would build the dam in five years. He said it was typical of them to make unrealistic promises. His view is that the Dam will take much much longer, and pondered how safe it would be. According to him there will be little regard for the environment in the process. Now it may well be that he is just an embittered old Scot with racist bigoted views. It is though the poor Tanzanians who will find out how true his misgivings are.
