Sorry ophidian to carry on but you say that the SP between major news is irrelevant. That is on the (imo dangerous) assumption that you know as much as everyone else. In other words Share prices can move before news is formally announced. Then all of a sudden the chart is warning whats going to happen, So, for example not because I think this will happen but because I think you don't, what would you do if at 4:00pm on Friday the sp fell sharply from 132p to 118p? in say, 5 minutes? No RSN, no news you can find. What then?

Oh God PP another one who seems to know my stock holding and now my financial worth. (I am already a millionaire by the way).
I think I have left it a bit late to turn into a billion (even holding Boo) but if you think what worked for buffett in the last 50
years will work for the next 50 then i fear you are mistaken but that is of course your choice.
My last point is that the only thing money is good for is to do things with it. Otherwise its just paper. If I die with £1 left in my bank account I will have misjudged my spending outgoings

One of the reason charts are used is that you ignore the fundamentals. So which is it?
If you want to play charts that's fine but it continually fails to break 150p it created a double top fell from their and then all the way back almost to the support as you say around 123p. That's fine but you bias (through fundamentals) is that the next update will be positive, because you don't talk about it falling below 123p. And just for the sake of this convo, what would you do if it did break 123p strong support? Would you sell, and if not why not?
I am not spreading fear (it certainly is not my intention).

Because I have concerns that if AVCT do fail to deliver the product on time/before someone else, that that could cause the SP to halve or more, means I should not invest in any stocks? But I must not discuss that because... What , I would cause so much selling it would affect the SP?
I have been trading stocks for over 40 years, this is not my first rodeo, as Foxo mentioned, do this long enough and you get burned sooner or later, usually sooner, so yes I am cautious on speculative stocks. Not so cautious as to avoid them obviously but as I have stated numerous times now, I don't like mindless ramping posts. and it is those that I tend to respond too as I think they are dangerous.
All the posting today has been an effort on my part to respond to various other posters views on my comments.
But don't take this the wrong way when I say you can keep your views on where I invest my money to yourself.
Because it is gone beyond tedious now to amusing that people here feel the need to decide they know the state of my bowels, my financial risk parameters, my stock holding. Oh, and my mental state....

Pl take the tone if you like (and again like just about everybody here who likes to weigh in on my emotional state or stock holding comes to exactly the wrong conclusion) but it wasn't that long ago that part of AVCT's USP was a saliva based test. Now there are other companies out there that can do that, now we can do it without a machine but how long will that be before someone else comes to market? I don't know but I am assuming we have not got this to ourselves. and the clock is ticking.
I am concerned when a stock that is going to be a £100 a share apparently, (or even £10) cant even hold at £1.48p when 2 inferior test products come to market over the weekend.
If its so nailed, so nailed on, why doesn't everybody just continually pile in then?

Oh for goodness sake, my point that you refuse to accept was that if we were literally days away (this week) from being able to release an RNS that gives 10 minute results on a saliva test with no machinery Boris would not have gone for 2 other companies over the weekend. I was just suggesting if he needed some sort of immediate political cover as have other posters commentated on to assure the public he has it all under control he could have something like that.
That's why I don't see an RNS this week or in fact next. That's 2 weeks from now and sometimes when its more than one you use the plural and say "weeks"

Ophidian, I know you did not say we joined yesterday, but by invoking only yesterdays figures I was merely pointing out that another 5-10days from yesterday was actually running into weeks from when we did join condor. But I understand given the heated state of the correspondence it could be misinterpreted.
As for the SP, it was 148p to sell on Friday close. its now down over 10% and that's because other test have come to market over the weekend increasing the chance of AVCT missing out or at least having reduced income from the available pot.

me too. I genuinely believe that these exchanges can help focus thoughts on both sides. Makes you ( might make) you reconsider your original view on why you invested and what you expected and by when. And if at the end of it nothing has changed other than a reconsideration, well I don't see that as a bad thing. Certainly we got down to justified views and opinions and not mindless statements.

Yes, I am concerned on the timelines clearly, but it is actually the rush of other tests coming to market in front of AVCT that is my greater cause for concern. All the time we were in a status quo of no new test reigiems time is not so critical. Now I think it is.
It is interesting you have had the experience on other stocks. There will be many here I fear who have not learned the hard way. And I am sure we both would like that not to happen but as I have said, many posters here simply speculate as fact and that can be a heady temptress.

Do what you like with them. My advice would be never over extend your finances on any stock or stocks. There is no such thing (short of insider dealing) as a guaranteed success. (Just look at the title of this Thread) Says it all. Its a statement of fact when all it is an opinion. Could it not have had a question mark with it for just the merest semblance of humility that the original poster does not in fact know whats coming.
I don't like mindless ramping and occasionally I try and call it out. This board has a lot of it.
Its a speculative stock that because of its potential gains has the greed emotion running rampant through many posters veins here.
It can lead to others being seduced it to getting in deeper than they might otherwise have done.

So Foxo my options are according to you:
..., now the choice is yours sit tight and continue to believe in the product regardless of what others are doing or sell up and put us out of the misery of your ramblings.
So keep my head in the sand and ignore what other companies are doing or sell up.

Orphidion I don't understand quite what time I am running out of and I care less about what "credibility" you or others have in me. I thought we had joined Condor a little while ago as opposed to yesterday so another 10 days (working days) is at least 2-3 weeks from when it started?
I don't mind this back and forth as you can tell however, there are many mindless optimistic posts on here that are only speculation portrayed as fact. Just look at GKB's recent post where he says he expects an RNS tomorrow or Thursday. Based on what? you just said between 5-10 days. And again, based on what?
I'm glad everyone here seems so relaxed. I presume that a potential 20-50% fall on the SP causes no pain to you and you can wait for a couple of years for it to go up again. That's fine but this SP is predicated on AVCT being a major supplier to covid testing. Others with similar saliva, quick result, testing are in the market too. Its not a done deal. That was my point and I think, though it seems a long time ago now, that I attempted to explain that the SP was falling due to some wanting to de-risk on this stock and it was not due to a posters view that it was just market manipulation.

I have no problem waiting for this stock to perform but it has been re-rated from a 50 per share to what it is now based on a time dependent solution to covid 19
