I do think that every country should chip in fairly. I’m not a fan of our current governments in the UK / US. Too polar and no sensible middle grounds.

But I do think the US is fair asking Europe to at least pay a fair contribution to security and stability.

I do however worry we will soon see some Iran backed terrorism in western areas shortly. Be it land or air.

For me I feel energy/ defence stocks currently make sense for the foreseeable.

Yeah I think people focused on one small aspect of a big world today.

Europe needs to be more self sufficient. As does every country. We all need to chip in for defence and security both environmentally and militarily.

Green energy part of an energy portfolio of the future. Russia doesn’t have the man power nor the resources to take and hold another country. Did it work in Vietnam, did it work in ww2? No. You can try but you simply can’t take control of entire landmasses if the people don’t want you.

Ukraine needs support. Trump is, I think, saying that they’re not going to be the ones that continue to pay the price for other peoples wars. I think he’s saying we will help, but everyone else has to help as well.. I think..

But then America has a history of agenda behind every war. Resources and energy.

i think people need to stop being so strongly this way or that. it’s toxic.

the fact is just like every other “leader” they have pros and cons. some like some don’t.

if people themselves could become more balanced then perhaps the world might be a better place.

this whole red / blue. one or the other ****e is medieval and quite frankly tedious.

He’s not the leader of the world as much as he might want to be. But it does show that people fiercely concerned about national security.

It’s a complex and difficult global climate which too many unstable variables.

But humans need, clean air, energy, food and water.

It doesn’t matter how orange you make yourself, essentials are essentials!

Hydrogen huge market, cost reduced, trump is a blip in time as any leader. It’s all madness and hope for the best for global peace and stability. But in regards to his presidency being a negative for green stocks I’m very sorry to say it’s not.

The simple fact is that there will be a gradual transition away from oil. But oil is king for now. But transition for cleaner, safer energy is and will come.

India air pollution etc needs tacking etc etc.

Future energy sources will be from a large mixed selection.

The only person making the decisions on abortions should be the parents especially the mother. And of story, it’s no one else’s business, religious or not. Christians, Muslims, Atheists have no business interfering imo. Hugely personal thing.

Trump may be pro oil and blind to climate issues but billions are not! likewise, his so called best buddy musk is pro green in many aspects!!

It’s not that bad and under control, social media escalating the event due to lighting making it look worse. Obviously not great but not huge concern it would seem. And the situation is under control

Interesting times with china-Taiwan. Russia-Ukraine. Isreal-Iran. Plenty of catalysts for supply chain issues and disruption but also weak demand and weak economies.

We still have tankers and shipping lanes being targeted and entering winter. Very hard to predict currently. However if Isreal do retaliate Iran likely to respond again especially with the current situation expanding into Lebanon etc. personally I think strings will be being pulled in the shadows on this one.

It’s hard to see things getting better before they get worse in the Middle East. Personally think reserves are being topped up and retained for further Middle East escalation.

Regards to Iran having Nukes, no they shouldn't but USA, UK, Korea, Russia, china etc have them, so maybe it's fair they have them as well. I mean i don't think a single one should exist.. but seems to be popular with the kids...

I think major catalyst and problem is Irans Nuclear position. According to sources its weeks away from having enough material to make a nuclear warhead and possibly only a month until its able to use it as either a threat or worse, strategic use. With the recent events its plausible that Isreal will want to stop that from happening.. Having recently been attacked by hundreds of missiles a second time. The US didn't worry when they invaded the gulf, Iraq etc so might not be enough of an incentive though sure they don't want escalation. It gets complicated with China - Russia - Iran alliances. And makes things very West versus East. The worry is the nuclear element and think Isreal will move to try and thwart those efforts and rightly so ( from a defence point of view )

Tinker sorry no.. well its a place to for discussion and if you cant discuss religion which is one of the biggest triggers in the word for creating conflicts, and thus also effecting investments. Comment was made about peace in the middle East. Peace wont happen because of religious militant views. That's the truth, no different from discussing climate change or any other events. Unless you can tell me religion doesn't cause wars or kills innocents, children, etc and the recent effects of Israel in a highly religious area is not caused by religious conflict, which you cant, because its a fact.. And also the answer to peace in the middle east. No matter your agenda or belief I'm afraid to say that religious conflicting beliefs has been and is the heart of this situation. And they seem to show no signs of wanting to fix that, so escalation seems likely, which in turn will improve your investment, as sad as that is.
