This is investing in the early days of a huge shift towards greener energy. Of course at this time there will be the old guard clinging to the black gold.

The reality seems to point that the future of energy will be a portfolio of sources. Oil and gas will always have some part to play due to its many uses. And even though we have trump who’s son is called Barron..fighting the old fight there’s an entirely different and younger generation wanting a healthier, cleaner future!! In regards to hydrogen we are very early stages.

Tesla for instance was laughed at in its early years. No one was going electric. Now its value is greater than several major car manufacturers combined. One small example. There used to be few and far between charging stations now everyone’s got one nearby.

Of course the biggest positive is generating your own power. Not having to find a way to import it cheap from Russia without anyone knowing.. cough… India.. etc etc

Let’s be clear selling is due to market current market conditions and short term view. Todays inflation news etc

It’s a complex issue. Nobody should have nukes but they do. One day one will go off and that will be that. It’s a crying shame, it really is. We need proper world leaders, councils of educated people, not power hungry angenda driven politicians. and focus on creating the best world we can for the kids to inherit.

Of course with so many people. Conflicts will happen. I suppose it’s human nature, and nothing wrong with the odd scuffle to sort things out. Just doesn’t need the threat of global extinction thrown into it in the name of progress.

It’s in no one’s interest to go that far… though the common people really should start caring more about who they put in charge, and demand more options..

So much going on the world, and so little going on with BP deciding on what they’re doing.. feels like a lost ship at the moment and needs some solid direction and commitment!!

Make the most of oil and gas, and invest in cutting edge and greener energy along side. transition will take time, make the most of both worlds and tweak as you go. Take control.

Ah ok thank you. I feel they put in a bid to test the water more than anything else, well an opportunistic bid anyway. I cant see them wanting to stretch or take on unnecessary risk in doing so.

To be fair. that is true, not taking into account the use of strategic nuclear warheads though. which he has threatened. Still that would truly be a serious move as even Russian allies would be extremely worried about such a move. It's interesting though what you say, ive wondered how Russia plans to hold taken positions in the future, having the man power to hold taken territory is one thing, but having to also do so with a incredibly resistant population as well.. they just could do it. It'll be hostile and unstable for decades. It's either escalate to full scale war or find a solution for peace. Think most people would prefer peace.. Russia though will want to end the war with something to show for it.. bizarre times.

India has way over 20 times the “recommended” safe levels of pollution, and as there economy grows they will want to address this problem. Never said oil will be replaced. But it will be a part of global energy solutions not totally as you guys seem to want.

No. Most people want cleaner energy and people want cleaner air in cities, a lot of moves already made and progressing. Anyone with a brain can see how important cleaner energy and storage is. Anyone.

You actually have to be a complete idiot to think that continuing to burn fossil fuels will solve anything. It’s not even that, it’s the fact that countries without oil reserves can produce and provider stable, clean power on their own territories.

Regardless of feelings toward Musk he wouldn't of made Tesla and pioneered the first movement to electric vehicles if it wasn’t needed. We are at early years in regards to to green hydrogen and technologies. Probably a bit like the early years of fossil fuels, steam trains, early motor cars etc etc.

It takes time to build and fine tune new and improved ways of doing things.

Oil is old old old. You can dig dig dig, and pump pump pump all you want. But the fact is the younger generation are watching h the world burn, they’re watching it get flooded, they’re watching the real life impacts of mass deforestation, oil spills, filth and stink. They’re going to be voting before you know it.

You can stay in the past or you can move into the future.

Most people want a better world for their kids.

Quite a conservative upgrade ( which is no bad thing ) when you consider the previous RNS, which indicated a fair trading range in the 300-400 region again than we saw mid 2023.

Does trump run Europe though, does he actually have any influence over the contracts, infrastructure and forward moving momentum in green energy anywhere but the USA. No he doesn't.. Equally within his own side he has Musk, who is pro green energy, he's also got countless others who favour greener energy. the market is volatile because people are far to eager to be part of the herd. Buy stocks low, and sell them high.

Possibly re energy but I don’t think we’ve seen the end of Isreal / Iran conflict yet and trump can’t just suddenly create significant output on the start gun. However I agree energy stocks one to mindful about.
