I got the impression ITM systems didn’t need much water.. at least not constant large supplies, I’ll have to look at my notes, was under the impression the system recycles a lot of the water and recirculates it.

The water is mostly used for cooling, and it doesn’t get transformed into hydrogen..

Well the general gist was Alkaline is not great, certainly not superior to PEM. Many reasons happy to go into ( mostly relating to what Dennis said )

I had no idea the water needed to be so clear / clean ( 5 times cleaner than tap water ) but this is for cooling and protecting the life of the unit, any excess is better than drinking water essentially.

PEM seems to be the best option for sure. He spent a fair bit of time explaining why, but the end message is it’s simply better for the job all round. Efficiency being a key one.

Breakofdawn also to note, it doesn’t require constant water supply as it filters an recycles most of the water, it actually doesn’t need that much water at all.

All it needs ( from a financial and operating point of view, is power ) and yes very clean! In fact the water that is expelled from the unit is many times cleaner and better than tap water!

From what I took from the visit, Europe is the big market, followed by UK. Ha lot of this, I believe, is due to logistics / transport etc.

However, Australia / Asia and pretty much anywhere is suitable for ITMs products.

After the site visit I do feel like this all comes down to cost effective systems that work for Hydropulse.

Of course systems for sale independently, but being able to offer easy, complete solutions for business at the best possible price possible.

Bilbo, absolutely and if you consider the further possibilities of Chronos at some stage, will add significant footprint reduction per MW. The reduced part count (versus TRIDENT) will be >50% (which has a cost read-through). So, it will be much smaller in MW/m2 or in H2 output/m2, it will also likely be more efficient than TRIDENT, so this means further lower CAPEX and lower OPEX..

Very interesting times ahead.

Expect we might get some news soon, plenty is brewing, FID's, Hydropulse etc etc. Im looking forward to more info regarding Chronos as well.

Be good to get some momentum and sentiment here again. After the site visit its been a bit of damp squib especially on how positive it was! share price fallen nearly 15% since then!.

Either way we have 5 years runway at present with not a single new order needed.. I get the feeling ITM are focused on the bigger picture, but it wasn't lost on me that Dennis clearly felt we are undervalued by some margin. But the market needs to see and believe that.

As ITM PEM’s are top of the game when it comes to efficiency, it’s likely, almost certainly based on their own metrics. So an 80% reduction in what they did previously…

This in turn means a significant drop in production costs and better returns on units..

ITM isn’t playing catch up. It’s ahead of the game so any cost reduction is exceptional.

Other competitors can’t just come along and do the same unless they storm the factory, steal the methods, copy the construction methods etc etc.. it’s highly technical and part of a considerable process where multiple elements come together in a specific way. ITM deeply research this and have done for a long time.

Others can only play catch up. By then ITM will have likely moved another few steps ahead. They are spearheading the technology advancements in house!

Seeing it differently .. since recent news this just seems to be re entering great buy territory.

Lucky did you not see my post after going to the factory..

What we need to hear about lucky is Hydropulse uptake. There’s a lot of this and that out there but we need actions to be taken, it’ll also be nice to receive an FID on a some projects.

ITM does feel to be on the cusp of great things, good for business, good for uk, great for uk industry, no brainer for Europe and as a bonus it good for the future of planet.

So we are around -10% or so after the site visit. In which it might be perceived that the company is undervalued, has a 5 year runway with no orders needed to maintain that, multiple projects to be announced, Chronos, Hydropulse and got the feeling we could expect news on some of those sooner than later..

But around 10% down since. Hoping that the next few pieces of news will be good enough to make the shorters sweat..

Troublesome I could post all day about poor government spending, failed projects, overspending on large contracts, the links between those projects and government officials etc etc. it would go on all day. Didn’t want to go into that.

Dennis seemed a little frustrated with UK government but expressed hopes for positive change and further talks.

Europe seems to be spearheading momentum. Just a shame UK isn’t, yet, that’s all, it’s pretty obvious that companies like ITM should be getting full support.

Troublesome its just the truth, not targeted at any particular party. I believe however as well they will come around, frustration just with general inefficiency, such as PPE spending during covid etc , money being spent badly etc. Im not political, just pro progress in a good way.

I’m guessing that’s why Spain and a lot of Europe is so interested in hydrogen. The UK used to be a leading force in pioneering forward but it’s currently gutless and stuck in both the past and its own red tape. Germany isn’t so misguided. I’m glad ITM doesn’t have to rely on the USA or UK.

But I’m sure the UK will wake up eventually.

There is a lot of wasted energy from wind and solar which is lost due to either poor battery storage or weak grid infrastructure.

Hydrogen used to be a bit of a fantasy, the theory was always right but the technology wasn’t there around it. Now it is.

Used to work in oil and gas fields across the globe, and it’s awful, dirty and outdated. The sooner we can reduce fossil fuel use the better imo. That’s if anyone cares about the planet or their kids of course.

New target price is 10% above last closing price of UK£9.64.

Stock is up 17% over the past year.

The company is forecast to post earnings per share of UK£0.35 for next year compared to UK£0.28 last year.
