Agreed mate the over supply problems arent going away just yet, but Saudi are still in control imo. Hopefully they go back to balancing the market instead of protecting market share. I think their economy has suffered badly, they dont want a weak oil industry. Id love $100 dollar oil again as i work in the industry but for now $60+ is actually a good price.

I think OPEC and Saudi in particular all want higher prices now. Oil will fluctuate but its not a dying industry. Good Companies survived on $40 oil for decades its over spending that killed them. BP are $30 now from memory.

This guy is comedy gold. Oils been falling since 2007, obviously we're ignoring 2011, 12 & 13... were also ignoring the fact Saudi want higher oil prices to float Aramco. AND the 100 other factors including expert estimates peak oil demand will be many years away. Im Flying out to budapest today on an eco friendly big fekin jet too :)

Itll take way longer than 10 years, closer to 30 to install EV infrastructure and thats in the UK. What about india, Africa and South America and every emerging nation? Global demand for Oil is increasing and the global population continues to swell whilst people live longer. Oil isnt just in fuel its in everything.

I get what your saying I just don't see anyone taking a punt on a company at this stage of development based on the price of oil when there's no proven reserves. In future yes, but as a motive for parting with my cash I'd look at oil producing companies that stand to benefit. plus oils been above $60 for a few weeks now. all imo. good to talk about some thing other than trolls in here. though.

I dont think its tracking the oil price. Rose isn't producing oil yet that I know of. I think its just speculators taking a punt.

According to his profile South's posts are 70% on Rose. What type of "investor" spends all that energy on something they have no interest in? fishy... We've all had a broken watch that was right twice a day. since the consolidation there hasn't been anything but positive news on ROSE so if "everything" is pointing in the wrong direction id like to see the evidence?

If you're a neutral or you have an interest in the shares its looking much better than the past 2/3 years. If ur intention is to demotivate people and have them sell their shares it wouldn't matter though lol. Unless Idiens is bold face lying he seems positive, its not enough to make me want to throw the kitchen sink at it, but I certainly wont be listening to any broken records in here copy and pasting negative posts every time the SP goes red.

Absolutely agree, and SuperR dont let South put a negative spin on ur investment what will be will be. The guys been making a conscious effort to drag u down for weeks stating the obvious and repeating himself every time u post just encase u forgot his opinion in 2 days... DYOR ignore the ones with ulterior motives!!!

I think Diageo are the obvious one I think of... they've been spending a bit lately buying premium tequila brands (George Clooney's) etc. I think this is a great fit for them. If your looking to expand you can only buy so many different brands of one "poison" before you're competing with yourself!

I've been looking at some of my investments and thinking the same, I think markets are nervous, people are selling without looking at fundamentals. I've shifted a higher % into an equity fund recently, rightly or wrongly... politicians will play politics and it'll be business as usual medium to long term. Adding more to CPI every month though, things will improve here!

I'm guessing the drop is a convenient dip allowing the ii a good entry point... maybe not coincidence?

Well im at break even now, hopefully the worst has been and the ii's push this higher over the long term. Im thinking the same, bagging some profit and moving it into other investments (HUR, AMER). All hypothetical of course. :)
