Off you trot then noel ... byeeee ... missing you already
I should think that's a real possibility given the likelihood of another strong performance by CF at the MelloMonday session this evening.
stay cool friends. we know this is the invesco effect. unless you absolutely have to sell hold on tight. others are buying now as invesco sell, establishing nice new base of holders at this level. and we all know what's coming during the year - growth, hugely profitable, cash generative core operations + special dividends or equivalent from disposal / new arrangements with non core businesses.
Looks to me like MC is putting CNR in the shop window again. Stating 120k oz production (and that very tasty annual profit CF has mentioned). Reminder of expectation of 5m+ oz district and further drilling under way to increase confidence in that. Increases longevity of production and profits - makes decision for a buyer easy to justify to shareholders. Meanwhile still not committing on plant (leave that decision to buyer) and the seemingly endless work to make 'shovel ready' (which was supposed to be achieved by end 2020). Yup, spinning it out and gearing up to sell IMHO, and wouldn't be surprised if buyer is already lined up. (I don't mind either way, by the way.) GLA
Dingo - it'll be a nice problem to have! And I'm sure companies like HL will be able to provide help when needed. Looking forward to a great week with ORPH. GLA
Hantsome - that's a really good find, very interesting, thanks for sharing. This emerging science is very exciting - great to be involved with a company which is at the forefront. GLA
Matt - absolutely agree. The huff post article is great news and signals a big step forward. Full stop! GLA
wyndrum - what's the point of your line of discussion? Am I to believe you don't think testing is going to be required 'long term'? If that's what you think, then don't invest in testing companies - it's not difficult. But I don't see why you feel the need to try to persuade others who don't agree with you, or keep arguing the toss.

what makes you think that - they didn't yesterday
Just had another squint at the list to remind myself of the incredible opportunities ahead of us in ORPH. GLA

trader_3 - thanks for reminding us with that ever-growing list. Simply unbelievable potential here in ORPH. What a great year this is going to be. GLA
Disappointing lack of progress after all these years. Still no wiser about what's in MC's head or when anything is gonna get done. At least it gives chum JM a chance to top up his boots (he's already filled them).
What an ar$e ...
"... Already, more than 3,500 Britons have expressed interest in volunteering for a Covid-19 human challenge trial with 1Day Sooner, a non-profit.
For a challenge trial to be ethical, these volunteers should be offered top-notch healthcare should they get sick in the study, as well as compensation for any long-term health effects. Fully informed consent is absolutely essential: the risks of the study must be made absolutely clear to anyone signing up.
If these conditions are met, then challenge trials are not just ethically permissible – given their ability to save lives, they’re an ethical imperative, and regulators should approve them as soon as possible... "
ORPH must be the best company to invest in on AIM. Its businesses are interesting, diverse, exciting, growing, beneficial to society and generating increasing amounts of profitable income which will find its way to investors during this year.
We have had 2 great webinars in the last week - links are available for those who haven't seen them - and numerous posters have summarised the range of activities and opportunities which the company is now pursuing. It is cash generative and profitable now and this will increase greatly through the year.
Share price and market cap have recently achieved all-time highs, even while invesco have been selling. Lets be clear - invesco are selling for their own internal reasons and difficulties and to realise a gain. There's nothing wrong with this and it in no way reflects ORPH's current position or expected growth. Recent share price increase has been awesome and it should be no surprise to see minor corrections along the way as it continues its upward trend. Selling and buying around current levels is great. It allows those who want to take some profit to do so and sets a base from which new investors will be looking for substantial gains, which most are confident will be delivered throughout this year.
The number of shares in issue is not changing, so investors shares of the special dividends and similar expected during this year are not affected by share price movements, whether up or down. And these are widely expected to be substantial distributions of cash from disposal of non-core assets.
The numerous core business streams are all doing extremely well, winning new contracts and repeat business and expanding. Cash generating assets are committed months and even years ahead. The situation could not be healthier.
ORPH has a great leader in Cathal Friel, who has a huge amount of personal skin in the game, is clear, honest and open about the business, communicating with investors regularly, is not putting a foot wrong, and is as excited about prospects as I have ever seen a senior leader of a business.
Given all above I don't mind if derampers want to come on here to try to get the sp down a point or 2 so they can get in slightly lower. Irritating but its what happens. The company's successes speak for themselves and will continue to be reported and discussed here. By the end of the year IMHO all current investors, whether recent or longer-standing, will be very happy, and much wealthier. GLA
despite all the excitement today around BTC, both gold and silver are also up on the day.
T3 - great research, thanks for sharing
Not sure you understand how these things work.
£40bn debt not something a FD decides. That's board, corporate strategy, with chair and CEO accountable ( and yes, perhaps in response to market conditions)
