I finally had a completion date yesterday of 15 Dec for a small mortgage I applied for back in July. It’s been an excruciating process for something that should have been relatively simple. Factoring is usually the prepayment of debtors - again short term repeatable finance. I think you need to have a good look at the video on the website of the explanation of the platform. It sits over the procurement and sale process, that’s the point of it.

You’re missing the point Dai. Syme;s offering here is the platform to monitor the inventory transactions. We’re not actually providing the funding.

If anything these kind of transactions are competition for Syme as they are taking potential funds away from inventory into capital goods.

We’re taking about multi million pound pieces of stock on a 2nd hand market.

Remember SYME are the platform - can’t really see this fitting in with the tech - plus at the end of the day it will be the risk appetite of the funders that count.

SYME finances the gap between finished goods going into stock and payment from the customer. It's a short term repetitive arrangement.

I just don't see how it would fit in with what you are suggesting. Surely your pension fund would just go to a bank or financier as they need a long term loan and have no use of SYME's platform which is all about the tech.

Think about it from another angle - when would our funder get their money back if these farms have a potential 20 year lifecycle.

Think of a manufacturer who has a warehouse full of widgets that are slow moving. SYME or rather the funder effectively buy the widgets and then then sell them back when they are finally sold by the manufacturer to the end customer.

The funders are not their to invest in long term capital projects, the whole point is SYME's platform allows the true sale to happen due to the blockchain distributive ledger tech.

Gilen with the greatest of respect I don't think you're understanding what SYME does. The company doesn't finance capital assets, it finances unsold inventory.

Gilen I take it you're talking about the plant rather than the energy itself? Although surely they are built to order and not sat in a warehouse unsold?

Mixed day for me, Ted Has been a star since I bought back in along with Tesla in the last couple of weeks.

I’m invested in Avacta and SNG though which have took a hammering in the AZ vaccine news.

It’s pretty much the same across the whole tech sector, not just fin tech.

Parm - the PE is simply a ratio that is worked out based on the financials so it’s not set by anybody as such.

So the most extreme example I can think of at the moment is Tesla who’s PE is over 1,000. That’s because there’s a massive bull case that they are the Apple of the EV world. Investors are paying a premium for a slice of the pie. Nobody has set that PE - it’s just their profits divided by the number of shares in issue to give eps. Then you divide the share price by the eps to arrive at the PE ratio.

What AIM is saying is that investors typically pay more for fin tech hence they have a higher PE.

I agree Tex. I think the market needs to see proof of concept at this stage. First target 0.5p-0.75p for me and then see what happens when final accounts are released and then onto IM2 first half of next year.

SH would have to be blown out if the water to be anywhere near 1p, last RNS they reiterated €300m again.
