Tax is paid on profits not dividends.

Dividends are about re-investing cash or giving some of the spoilt back to shareholders.

Imo dividends are bank and major oil investments and the FTSE is addicted to them.

Josepi - looks to me like everything is geared up for supplying the UK market though, For starters, you wouldn’t have the production in the UK if you were thinking more global.

Get your point re the masks, planes, etc.

Back in March it was incredible how quickly production lines were turned to round to a global mass production effort so there is plenty of evidence that it can be done.

Surely they have made some appointments in manufacturing, distribution and logistics and the process isn’t being run by a ‘university department’.

Tech companies very rarely offer dividends.

My main concern here would be how big is the actual opportunity and how quickly will it fade with the vaccine rollout and return to normal. How expensive will the masks be compared to standard throwaway masks, ie will they become ‘niche’ and for more non-standard requirements clinical settings, car hike, etc, rather than an everyday item?

I for one will be ditching my masks at the first available opportunity. I hate the bloody things.

How are you guys working out how many masks are being made? Looking at the RNS it doesn’t say how the shifts are operating at the moment only that they are working to achieve what looks like one continuous 24/7 shift. Maybe they are making so many, having to down tools, carry out maintenance, adjust the machine, change materials, etc, then start up again.

Reading the RNS again I think there are positives that are possibly being overlooked. The new prominence of Dr Cave and new board, raw materials have been secured for the near term production, potential new sectors being opened up with the P2F technology and possible new opportunities that exist in CloudVeil and Gyrometric.

I think all is far from lost. If the price remains low over the next week or so I might have a more longer term speculative top up.

Lolades - with all due respect what you are implying doesn’t correspond with what the company have told us in the RNS. You’ve come up with your own ‘facts’.

Now clearly saying shareholders have been let down is a complete understatement but I think there is light at the end of the tunnel. It just requires a longer wait and a definite reset of future share price expectations.

Just to add that I work for a company with a global turnover of $2bn and it’s took us three years to run a 24/7 shift pattern in our NDC, and we’re not manufacturing. That’s after spending a fortune on consultants, experts, etc.

You’ve very lucky if you can start a production process with perfect execution from scratch.

If anything they’ve made the typical small cap mistake of over promising.

It doesn’t say the machine doesn’t work. It’s says the machine isn’t making as many masks as expected and cannot be run 24/7. This could be for a while host of reasons.

It’s a capacity issue, just a big one!

The masks are being made just not at the expected capacity.

The current production rate is significantly below these levels and the commissioning process has identified a number of issues that need to be resolved over the coming weeks in order to improve the machine's productive capacity. I don’t think they will give any information though.

They are either going through routine steps - in which case they wouldn’t keep you informed or they are carrying out a more thorough examination in which case they definitely wouldn’t tell you anything until they are ready for an official release.

Also we are shareholders who have potentially made a bad investment, not wronged consumers.

So we just have to see the process out and have faith that there is nothing untoward going on.

Good time to buy US stocks with the dollar at 1.4. I put larger amounts on to make it more worthwhile due to the higher charges.

As other people have said a simple W8-BEN form and most can be out in your ISA. I have tried to buy Nio and Ali Baba stock before but they are ‘repository shares’ on an overseas market so cannot be put in an ISA, as has also been said.

Plus when you sell you have to pay a small % to the SEC.

The second part of this point is our USP at the moment. Many investors are risk averse to taking on fx investments as well.

Hi Xerxes - the company I work for ran stock down from April onwards to convert into cash but we picked up from August onwards pretty nicely so piled back on. December we increased by 20% to carry us through the early brexit problems but were fortunate to have the cash to do it.

I was speaking to our of our key suppliers a month or so ago and they had product in 300 containers around the world that they couldn’t get hold of. We’re hearing about stock being diverted to the Netherlands because they can’t upload in UK as there is no capacity.
