I had a classic a couple of weeks ago where I banked the decent rise on argo from around 135 to 270 and then managed to make the same loss on RMS twice when trying to be clever trading and early wiped out all my gains.

The key to it is to anticipated big macro economic shocks like what’s been happening this week. With a bit more time and preparation I could made some decent cash on my US stocks this week.

The average life expectancy is increasing, therefore there is an ever increasing ageing population which need to be paid for - pensions, nhs, social care, etc. Therefore we all need to work for longer and pay earlier into our pensions.

Germans may well get a better pension but they generally don’t own their homes and have rent controls so will not be as asset rich as Brits.

Plus their free cash flow becomes less valuable to investors who can then get better returns on safer assets elsewhere.

If that’s gets anywhere near 2000 I’ll be doubling up.

The value of the btc $ at 1.4 has room for decent gains once the $ starts weakening as well.

I had a look earlier and I'm only around 30% down now so it's far from a lost cause, not enough confidence for me to add though as I feel the opportunity is getting smaller by the day and they don't seem to have the board with the skillset to run what's essentially now a manufacturing operation.

I'll be in that one to the end now come what may but only had a small holding anyway.

With regards to the FCA I'm pretty sure they still haven't given confirmation of exactly what they are investigating in relation to Neil Woodford which has been going on for 2+ years.
