If the volume is 10m, then 10m people have bought and 10m people have sold - because there is only one share being traded.

You are saying if the volume is 10m then 5m have bought and 5m have sold which is incorrect and you would be mistaking volume for the number of transactions.

I don’t know what to say, this is really simple stuff.

I mentioned the word transactions because that is what you are referring to as volume.

But go figure you don’t realise that because you haven’t ever had a scooby about what you are trying to talk about.

So today alone you have shown you don’t understand how either volume or inflation are calculated but continue to preach about them both. In the words of T4G - comical.

You would have a point if inflation was measured month vs month but inflation is measured this month vs this month last year.

So as usual you are incorrect.

In order to misinform you haven’t mentioned wage inflation which is putting more money in people’s pockets.

The volume relates to the number of shares traded in the day not the amount of transactions.

This is something you could google very easily.

That depends on the rest of the basket of goods and how much it is coming down and also against what comparative it is being measured against. For example we know you like reading so have a look at how the Ukraine has flooded the European market with grain recently so good price inflation for example will start coming down.

Food has made a massive impact of the overall inflation. I’m not saying you are wrong, just that it is a lot more complex than you are making out.

If oil at $120 is being measured against oil at $140 that’s actually deflation, just to illustrate the point.

Imagine waking up in the morning and the only thing you’ve got to do for the whole day is to convince five regulars on a BB that they must sell their shares.

PeePer - Asos sint a pure fast fashion business. You can buy all sorts of brands on there. Unless you can filter out of there results their own brand sales and gross profit.

This is the thing Oke - these brands are still in their infancy. Debenhams only exists in name. It's a platform business which means low overheads and can be scaled up easily if successful. Which is no surprise on the call that it's already in profitability.

Boohoo have never had complete domination of the market, no company has, it's a competitive industry and always has been.

Also, young people quite often have more disposal income than adults because they are less likely to be tied to rent, mortgages, bills etc. They really ever buy their clothes from one place.

Also, while Shein might be cheaper it's known for poor quality and even poorer lead times, so in this respect those with Uk distribution have a USP over them.

Young girls often are still buying outfits a day or two before the occasions they are buying them for. When this happens they Shein cannot compete for these sales. Shein purchases have to be planned weeks in advance.

John Lewis CEO pointed out last week that clothing and beauty had done very well.

The woke agenda is very popular with young people.

The rationale goes that those companies that were beaten badly by the poor macro economic conditions should be the main beneficiaries of any subsequent reversal - very long way to go though yet.

Shein keep having to raise capital despite being this apparently super profitable behemoth.

You have no idea how deep their pockets are because they are Chinese companies and do not have to file public information.

You dont know their revenue, gross and net profit or anything around their balance sheet so how you can make such a comment with such little knowledge sums you up really.

If Shein start using UK distributions hubs their whole model falls apart because they will need to register for VAT in the UK and charge their customers UK tax as they will be making Uk supplies. They will either have to charge their customers 20% more or take a battering to their most likely already wafer thin margins. They will also have to start paying import taxes to import goods into the distrbiution hubs.

So I find it very unlikely. I think in the main posters don't mind negative posts and debate. It's you and your simple repetitive intelligent posts that make you the most despised poster on the board.
