I wouldn’t dispute that lots of shares get suspended for lots of reasons. It was your suggestion that it was suspended to stop insider trading that raised my eyebrows, along with an impracticality impossible raise at this point in time.

Poor insiders by default are not allowed to trade during sensitive times mate, they don’t suspend shares to avoid this happening.

I’ve never known a share be suspended because an offering is being made, plus you’d expect the company to be telling you first by RNS, they have auto release prospectus, etc.

The whole crypto space is on its **** so who is going to be putting their money in? Especially on a day where the company has told you they may have to turn the machine off.

I don’t think I’ve seen a suspension before where the conditions haven’t been explained.

Btw from what I recall the better deal there was that the landlords got paid an extra $20m a month. I didn’t say you said he would get lent the money. You were suggesting he could go out and get unsecured finance - I just pointed out that in my opinion that was unlikely.

Jeff - that’s the judge playing their supervisory role - ensuring all creditors are heard. I don’t see what your point is. Ian was telling us the $1bn payment was illegal, which it wasn’t, and guess what, it got paid.

Or have a look to the cashflow statement attached to the monthly operating report we were discussing the other day. If you still think I am in cuckoo land after that then there really is no hope.

Elvis - the company has no money - at the point of C11 it had $4m left. The money it has is a lifeline and has been projected out to the middle of next year. Surely you being the accountant that you are understands this?

Herein lies your problem. You seem to take everything personally. Grow up.

The answer here is actually quite simple. Cineworld have to come up with a plan that gives the senior creditors enough consideration in the form of cash (if part of the company is to be sold) or equity in Cine V2 that paves out a plan to profitability that is convincing enough to persuade them to take a haircut on the debt and gives them an exit strategy once they have turned the company around.

That's all that really matters here. Shareholders are not going to be saved because of some tax advantage on the balance sheet, nor is there any money to make shareholders any kind of offer for the shares they hold. The money Cine do have has been provided by the senior lenders and is for operational costs which has to be approved by the court. The judge will not approve anything that detriments the creditors - the process is aimed at achieving a satisfactory outcome for them.

Shareholders will recover money here if Mooky's plan is good enough to persuade the creditors to allow them a portion of Cine V2, and nothing in the last few days has made the prospect of this happening any muddier or clearer in my view.

Jeff mate no one is going to lend Cine any more money, especially unsecured. They are literally creaking in debt and have ran out of cash. Please have a read of Israel's opening statement in the first day hearing papers and you will see the dire situation the company is in and the attempts that have already been made to create liquidity not just in the last three months but over the last couple of years.

Cineworld without debt or with a significantly reduced debt and a decent roadmap to profitability can go back to the markets.

The problem here Elvis is you keep having to apologise, you need to have a word with yourself and modify your behaviour. but actually stick to it so you don't have to keep apologising, resetting, etc.

We are supposed to be adults after all.
