The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
I think the opposition/hostility towards Tom's proposed trading strategy by Nige/AngerS definitely reflects their age differences.
Nige/AngerS, older, conservative, not willing to take a risk/punt on a long shot or a risky strategy. Tom, younger, willing to take risks for higher returns.
Retail is an interesting sector for M and A activity in 2022, my fave is Currys, alot of upside there.
Nige, now you think people posting on this board are aliases for Tom, you are showing all the classic symptoms of paranoia Nige, can't be good for your mental health.
May I suggest you take some time away from posting on LSE and ADVFN, stop tracking every ITV trade/online article etc, in time you will see clearly again.
Somebody disagrees with the super spreader on this board (Nige) and he thinks they are an alias of Tom, how pathetic.
I know it's a tough day with markets down due to the Botswana strain, maybe you should relax and take stock and see this as a buying opportunity though probably not in ITV. There are plenty of bargains in the markets today if you are brave, a Black Friday stocks sale, might be even more bargains in the coming weeks.
May I suggest Nige that you have a nice warm mug of Horlicks, take an afternoon nap and no doubt you'll feel better after it.
This board is nothing more than a support group for a bunch of old fellas sitting on large losses on ITV shares, posting links to any articles they can find that purports to show ITV in a good light.
If the cat had kittens a couple of posters on this board would try to link it to an expected rise in the ITV share price.
Nige, the reason I asked the question in the first pace was due to the volume of posts you do every day and the constant monitoring of trade volumes, ADR volumes etc.
Each to their own I suppose, am I right to assume that you are retired and you have all the time in the world?
Some posters here predicting 160p - 200p ranges, I think ITV will be very lucky to stay in the 120p - 130p range til March next year, FTSE 100 status should be maintained though.
Deutsche Telekom posted excellent Q3 results today, buoyed by growth in Europe and in the US (T Mobile & Sprint), share price up 2% to EUR17.04, board to propose increasing the FY2021 dividend to 64c from 60c.
Hopefully Vod can report some growth next week and take the share price out of the doldrums, really is unloved at present.
Anybody notice the price spike to 126p - 128p on opening of trading for each of the last 4 days and then back down to 120p range, hmm spooky goings on perhaps given its near Halloween, any thoughts folks?
GS downgraded to sell, target price 700p. A bit overdone....
Great results today, share price rise, buybacks, increased dividends, oil price at $74, long may this continue.
Hawi, as we exit the pandemic and hopefully continue to do so I think it is more appropriate to compare the figures to where we were before Covid struck, it tends to show how much a company has recovered in it's financial health to get back to a pre covid state which is where we all want to be (8p dividends, remember those....).
Some may not like what that comparison shows, each to their own.
