If KL3 is directly below KL4 how would they be able to access KL3 without removing the kill fluids to do the tests at the lower level?

This is why the Brockham tests are going to be crucial for UKOG & the Weald imo. as the 656ft of perforations appear to be over 5 layers on the picture on Twitter but not noted as individual layers.

My presumption being KL 1,2,3,4 & the Kimmeridge clays but do you know if they plan to test the layers individually?

I believe the production licence is only for 18 months is that correct?

I like your description of implied minimum vertical extent of 358ft and for KL3 & KL4 connectivity in your 12.56 post.

The reason I like it so much is that it is an absolute minimum without any idea of how large this reservoir pool depth could be or if it is possible the KL1, kL2, KL3 & KL4 are all interconnected as no tests have been done on the Kimmeridge clays or KL 1 & KL 2.

I am just not sure if the bitcon price would be stable enough in the shot term.

I think it has the potential but as we have seen previously has been very speculative when in demand & could make a volatile oil price even more so.

I am sure that Iran will be pumping all it can at the moment but 2 million BOPD will big hole to fill.

Hence the British Strategic National interest for Britain & working to oil & gas independence.

Look at the new fracking licences granted. Previously this would have been unthinkable.

Desperate times call for desperate measures.

With the North sea in decline by 2030 things I'll have changed significantly.

I hope we don't have to wait that long but the efficiency's of onshore production will drive this market if it can establish a reliable base.

I understood the article to say that if country's did not comply and continued to buy Iranian oil they would not be able to access finance though the $ as the world currency.

He seems to have a strangle hold on this as even China & India will comply.

As to if this could be the beginning of the end for the $ as the global currency time will tell.

All of this ongoing turmoil with President Trump, Iran & global oil prices will hasten what DL referred to in his interview in July I think the 18th after the commencement of the Portland flow test.

DL stated that he believed that Westminster would soon declare this a Strategic national resource.

I am sure that planning & Production can & would be fast tracked should this happen there are many crunch points ahead with the Iran situation & Britexit.

Things can move very quickly when needed & government wants it to happen the normally unthinkable actually happens in the blink of an eye & the fall out will be sorted out over many years in the future.

Look at what happened in the banking crisis & the blame games still being played. But at the end of the day the financial system survived one way or another.

It is very interesting following DL's comment in 2016.

Now that they think that KL3 & 4 are linked what stops the possibility of KL1,2,3 & 4 all being linked in a massive deep reservoir.

The well at HH was drilled deep enough to test all these horizons as was done at BB so the appraisal & testing stage is far from COMPLETE after this EWT.

Without this data I don't think it would be possible to put a realistic value on it either so may be for the best to avoid a speculative bid that would not be on the shareholders interests.
