Can't open the report on that terrible and unprofessional website!
A very banal statement about reducing carbon blah blah was put out this afternoon. Pleased to see it shouldn't undermine any other results imho. I wonder if we'll get the annual report tomorrow morning. Thursday is more usual than Friday!
The strategy update explaining the acquisition and further plans for growth will be important, plus explanations of debt reduction and moving to a dividend. Hit over 114p a few days ago. Anything from 110p to 130p depending on the above. 140p once a div is declared...
Share rewards are (unfortunately) standard practice these days. CF is hardly excessively guilty and it's a decent incentive for managers to pursue further growth in sp. The acquisition today is much more significant imho.
I still kind of think a private placement or maybe Rights Issue to raise some cash in order to pay off debt and allow reinstatement of divi makes some sense at the current sp. Obviously there would be some dilution but with debt reduced or gone the sp could leap up a lot more than the relatively small hit.
I think the issue is whether the BoD just distribute profits more for their own benefit than the general shareholders. Hoping the new Chairman is a bit more outward looking...
American?
Hoping a nice divi will be announced for summer payment and the sp takes a little boost! I guess coal is still making decent money compared with a few years ago despite recent falls - hope the good times last a bit longer...
Seems to me we may be expecting an update / end of year stuff from the BoD next few days but the info on the website is totally out of date. Anyone know?
There should be a big jump as and when we get close / into the next FTSE group and the passive funds need to buy. I reckon this is at about £1.30 a share but haven't done the calls recently... Anyway, seems promising even if there is perhaps a little over-enthusiasm in some quarters...
I found Customer Service excellent whenever I've called.
Results will be in line with last statement with debt down and decent profit. Biggest positive will be if they can state when divs will return. Possibly by Spring 2024. Post being so expensive and a shambles is going to hit CF so they need to focus on all the hand delivered cards and little gifts. Hopefully the results will be enough to get back to £1 sp but I doubt will go much higher until a div of 3p or more is paid. Fundamentally this company seems sound and on a good trajectory, damaged by the shambles that is the UK but I am certainly holding.
