Ha ha, you're probably right. A Stach of nonsense whether he was genuine or not. I've done very nicely out of CF so far despite buying back a bit too soon during this current retrenchment. As you intimate, this should March back up soon enough and nothing has changed afaik since it was hitting 115p. Stay strong, loyal Cardites!
Looks clear as though there's an attack on Card at present from a short seller or someone with a vested interest in knocking the price back. Just need to sit and wait. Silly old markets but this sort of abuse is not the way things should work. Where's Stach?
Sooner or later this is almost certainly going to bounce back as some institution takes a decent stake. Down almost 20% now from its recent peak with no news or known reasons other than a while before a div is paid this is an increasing bargain! IMHO!
Topping up as this gradually slides. It will bounce back up soon enough. I sold a few after the slightly lacklustre end year report / update so am just buying back a few percent cheaper! It's like taking a profit!
Sensible stuff. The strategy for growth is important now. Disappointing no more distribution channels announced. Company needs more turnover and profit to get to a decent valuation. And yes, dividends will be pretty small based on current numbers so current sp is about right.
Read the report. Nothing for 2 years. Just possible an interim dividend could be paid a bit earlier but sounds unlikely, and the dividend will be pretty small so nothing to get excited about at the present. Of course, things change...
I think they do know a Buy from a Sell but the free info service on lse and others doesn't. I agree it's stupid to report things wrongly but your understanding of the market prices and how trading affects them is completely wrong... You suggest MMs just set the price they like? Simply doesn't work that way.
Looks like the market is gradually realising there's nothing to get excited about, but no bad news either. Hoping the growth strategy and longer term excitement continues to keep this buoyant. Managed to buy 10k shares at 101p earlier. Nuts. Still a great prospect for the future...
Amazing...? Not really anything we didn't know. There's a provision for about £7.5m for paying money back to the Government which is in some sort of overpayment dispute (quite significant). And no dividends for about 2 more years, in calendar terms. Otherwise, decent growth ideas and trading currently good. But no golden nuggets that I could see. Can't see the price blasting forwards based on what I've briefly read. Fingers crossed. But - to me - a tiny bit disappointing based on what we already knew.
Love it! I wrote a scathing letter suggesting the company was run purely for the directors' friends and family and should nor be publicly listed. It's always a bit tricky when companies like this are listed - best just to avoid them... Mr acquire the whole thing and fire them! A takeover is the only defence against such profligate greed.
Go to the AGM although I'm sure they make it almost impossible... Tell 'em some home truths. Write something to Private Eye. Encourage Extinction Rebellion or Just Stop Oil to pick on them. Crooks. Goodbye - I'm so pleased I'm out. And if I could remember the wretched Ramper who lied and persuaded me to invest I'd find him and remove something he considers important.
Shambles of a company. Has ever a company posted such an increase in profit and such an absolute profit and watched market cap decline? This family should not be allowed to run a so-called public company. This is a private company with mugs as external shareholders. I'm very angry and have written to the company. I'm sure they'll respond courteously.
For it from the Hargreaves Lansdown website. Decent profit but modest dividend. Uninspiring and hardly confidence building for the future. I've sold out with a small 5% profit after 3 months. Won't return to such a small and insular business. Good luck!
