Energy Minister Dr. Medard Kalemani has been discussing the development of various government projects funded by the African Development Bank (AfDB).

The talk was held on April 11 this year by the Ministry of Finance and Dodoma Programs, including the relevant Minister, Dr. Philip Mpango, Prime Minister Kalemani, representative from the Zanzibar Ministry of Finance, Halima Wagao, various experts of the Ministry and Messages from AfDB.
Speaking at the session, Prime Minister Kalemani commended and thanked the Bank for the cooperation that has been shown, especially in financing various development projects for the energy industry.
The energy projects discussed at the relevant session include Malagasy involved in generating 45 megabytes and Kakono Electricity Project with 87 Megawatis.
In addition, other projects include exporting 220 volcanoes from Rusumo to Nyakanazi and transporting 400 bilogical electricity from Singida - Arusha to Namanga. In addition, the project was exporting 400 kms to a distance of 280 km from Nyatazi to Kigoma.
According to Chief Energy Officer from the Ministry of Energy, Engineer Salum Inegeja, all projects are funded by AfDB in two ways that are either sponsored by several percent in partnership with other stakeholders or 100% funding.
About the steps that the Government has taken to ensure that it improves the performance of TANESCO; The issue where AfDB's message was to be raised; Prime Minister Kalemani said the improvement would require several steps that the Government has already implemented.
