That is true of virtually all the penny shares on AIM. What's changed? Always been like that. Thats what AIM is , a vehicle for raising money for small innovative companies who would not otherwise have access to funds. Placings dilute, fact. So what?

It's all b...cks anyway. I don't think there are any companies on AIM who do not fundraise at some time. Its a pretty regular thing and that's why companies are on there in the first place. Its not a question of if its when. Sometimes placings result in a rise in SP on the basis that prospects are good and more money needs to be invested. What's wrong with that?

Quite clear. anyone is free to make comments this any board but I would also like to make this clear. Those on this board who by constantly denigrating the company and its management are sowing the seeds of their own SP destruction , that is of course if they are genuine investors. It matters not to me as I shall be here long after the locusts have departed.

Here we go again, what the hell is AIM for if its not to give opportunities for minnows to easily raise funds? Oil industry is high cash burn at the best of times and numbers quoted are miniscule compared with operating costs of even the tiniest of minnows in this industry. If you don't like it why are you in UJO in the first place? I suspect its sour grapes because many were busy planning and affluent retirement. This is the reality of AIM so just get used to it.

Heid - if I were you I would spend time doing a little more research on Brokerman. Between him and TW, another AIM hero, self-styled Sheriff of AIM, they have established quite a following but their history is worth looking into. Like I've said before AIM is a muddy (dark) pool with pirhanas everywhere waiting to take chunks out of naive P.I.s . Trouble is many of their prophecies and comments becomes self fulfilling but then that is the the power of social media and the internet. I know what I think about this placing (?) but would rather not comment because like everyone else the pirhanas are circling.

I wouldn't too much as low cost of production is way below most oil production in the UK but its true that sentiment plays a big part in investment. Its not too fashionable at the moment to invest in oil especially in a recession. Can't see oil ever going the way of coal though because there are so many industries dependent on using it as a raw material and not just for plastics. Not a viable proposition to use any other materials from oil to produce the low emission transport systems where lightness and rigidity are essential for construction. For example carbon fibre price is dependent on the price of oil as a raw material. The lower the oil price the cheaper the carbon fibre. That is just one application.

a dead cat bounce. This company is very much alive and kicking. Once we have rid of the doomsters the only way is up. That is of course unless the SP drops lower! and then it would be down but there again on the other hand and not withstanding AIM is the name of the game.

Leak, no leak, placing, no placing, oil sentiment, FTSE sentiment, all in a day on AIM. Bet in a few weeks we'll all look back including those panicking on AD...N bulletin boards as a storm in a teacup, placing or no placing. Onward and upward I say.

Fully funded is budgeted for. But that cannot allow for unforeseen difficulties or delays e.g stuck drills .

DDB, agree it is really nerve wracking but basically if you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen. After very many years of investing in AIM I have concluded its not for the fainthearted. As Lenin says basically there is no single reason for AIM price movements. Reasons come and go with fashions. Personally having seen this in the past the chart theories seem to be the latest ones, no good on a falling market but seem to work on a rising market and if you follow some of the popular chart gurus they often become self fulfilling prophecies. Personal opinion on this one is that it is news driven with a little help from favourable reports from the gurus on the more popular websites. Of course they always say its not advice they are offering but the reality is very different. Stay flexible and don't be afraid to get out at a loss . GLA

Heid - from what I have seen of him so far I hardly think a few peeved PIs bellyaching because UJO SP has gone down instead of up is going to greatly concern DB. AIM is a (dark) pool full of piranhas waiting to take a chunk of cash from unsuspecting naive PIs. Seen it so often (and been a victim) but at least it makes a change from the stuck record of blaming MMs. DB should be laughing all the way to the bank.

Simmo - Social media speculation is not a reason to issue an RNS. What will it say? What it should say is that the doom-mongers don't know what they are talking about. Anyway the oil price will have to fall a long way yet for Wressle or any of the other fields to be uneconomic. North Sea oil will reduce to a trickle if that happens.

Anyway if its mentioned in Zaks bulletin board heroes that'll give us all a little spike to be going on with. Worked with all those he highlights, like a sort of self fulfilling prophecy.

How when punters start seeing (paper) SP losses they all start badmouthing management and everyone else. Still it makes a change from blaming it all on the MMs . Oh ye of little faith.

Name any AIM company who doesn't place at one time or other despite their original intentions, besides that's what AIM is for, to raise money easily from willing punters. Its when it gets out of hand and they use the proceeds to inflate their own pay that you need to watch. If its going on genuine investment fine by me. I await with interest to see what happens. Personally I think we will all be pleasantly supplied. Any how the more the price falls the more I can invest.
