Just wish I could get hold of a preview of his BB heroes list BEFORE its published as the 'chosen few' obviously do. There are a few people making a huge amount out of this so-called chartist research. Just for a change I was already in this as a recovery stock. I really do wish I could get tipped off, as others obviously do on this AIM casino, to his gobbledegook BEFORE he publishes. But who gets to know in advance? I wish I did but on this occasion I got lucky. But its alright because he always prefixes his wizadry with this statement so its all quite legal.

Croqman - The aspect that gets me in the UK is that when you look at just about any aspect of consumer protection particularly in the financial sector it is often down to self-regulation. All very well but when self-regulation fails which it seems to time after time there is little if any proper enforcement of existing law or government legislation. It takes for ever to enact and it always seems that the miscreants are invariably given the benefit of the doubt and are allowed to get off and carry on exactly as before using a different company or name. For example

My comment is 'For Gawd's sake how can this be' but this is the way we operate in the UK .

gk - I like you felt exactly the same about the farce of the placings you mention. I like few on here put my money where my mouth was and sent detailed time lines of the placings and subsequent and prior SP movements to the FCA.
I was warned that specific instances could not be responded by email (no doubt a get out clause for doing nothing) and this just goes to confirm my long held convictions that both the FCA and before that the FRSA are incompetent when it comes to dealing with the small investor. I had reason to write to that cypher FRSA organisation years ago about the shenanigans in the boardroom of a corrupt AIM company I had put money in and although they used to respond in those days their response was patronising and arrogant. No doubt the same patronising and arrogant people are employed in the FCA.

Its a pity that small investors have little or no protection from these leaks and scams but that's the way it is. Maybe they have tightened up on these (broker?) placement leakers but I doubt it. Just a waste of effort but hasn't stopped me investing in AIM because if you get a goodie then you can be very successful. Let's hope UJO turns out that way even if it is/was as leaky as a sieve. gk- yes but drilling a hole in the ground and estimating how much oil there is the start only. The endless complications of operating a drilling rig , operating a field, investing in infrastructure, raising finance, outsourcing experts and planning permissions, exporting the oil etc etc etc are something that few on this board would have any experience of so how can they give objective opinions? It is a very unique industry, especially offshore, so why not just wait, form your own opinions and get out if you don't like it. There's always that option. After all its not like coming along with a Black and Decker drilling a hole in the ground then turning on the tap as our illustrious CEO pointed out in a recent interview even if many on this board think it is.

Amazing all the armchair 'experts' we have on here, most of whom have probably never been on an oil rig or in the industry. I know who I would rather believes. Just be patient and stop speculating on something you know little about.

Simple - day trading amateurs who have little idea what they are getting into are being manipulated by certain individuals. Without fail any penny AIM share that is featured on his BB charts goes through the roof, then invariably back down again. Personally I think there is more than meets the eye here. My only regret is that I can't get his list before he publishes his bulletin board heroes. Maybe others do ! LIkely as not the shares are already marked up in anticipation. Who makes all the dosh out of this day trading is a mystery to me but I do think the whole charade needs investigating. Zak Mir's chart gobbledegook chart analysis is all in the name of 'chart research' not investor advice and that is precisely why it is not investigated. If you believe that, the naive day punters do, you will believe anything. AIM is a 'dark pool' full of piranhas waiting to strip penny shares. Occasionally charts featured occur on the same day as some juicy news comes out so share movements are masked. AIM is a casino where the PI always loses. How else can you explain trades as being over 500 on a day of no news, just proves there's some hanky panky going on and its always the small PIs who are the mug punters.

of UJO could turn out to be the best decision the company has made as regards its trading image. Still in the doldrums at least we should be getting much more visibility for the institutional investors by potential earnings. Although our market cap is still low to be an attractive investment for them our share price should be more stable and help our credibility with the institutions. Once cashflow becomes real, reliable and predictable it should propel us into the market cap bracket that makes us much more attractive to the institutions given that onshore oil is considerably less risky and expensive to operate. TIme will tell even if fossil fuels have fallen out of fashion temporarily. I'm holding on as what we have is alot more promising than many energy companies have especially those operating at much higher costs offshore. Our location is a winner and we haven't a long supply chain to market which most operators have.

IMO this is the old fashioned 'leverage' finance on future growth but the critical difference is that we are doing is the finance for this sort of 'leverage' is in place. So we are not getting into debt with the need to raise finance through placings. Perhaps by warrant selling but not by placings and if anything undermines share prices its placing after placing to raise finance for this sort of thing.

on AIM. Once we produce the mood will change. Pretty obvious there are problems but so what. How many oil wells are drilled and produced without problems. Very very few. The time to get concerned is when it drags into months or the flow rates are much lower than hoped for. If you can't stand the uncertainty you shouldn't be in AIM or for that matter anywhere else. Put your money under the mattress and watch it devalue.
