I think that is wishful thinking. They don't know, we don't know and the EV manufactures don't know either. Alot of don't knows which means that oil will continue the predominant if declining energy source for many years to come and the lack of investment in new fields, assuming OPEC or the Iranians / Russians don't open up the taps (Americans under Biden won't be allowed to except on pain of losing the next election) and declining oil in the ground through lack of investment will determine the oil price. Anyway when it gets too expensive then the price of EV and green energy sources will become cheaper and cheaper and eventually take over. At least that's what I hope. Sentiment is all and in the short term its against the oil industry. Can't switch off oil consumption like they have done coal.
The (ethical!) pension funds etc will soon do an about turn when they see their investments are not paying out the dividends needed to finance an ageing population. I'm basically an old cynic. People say one thing and do another. For example will those who make so much noise about having to reduce emissions and reduce dependence on fossil fuels forgo air travel which is about the most polluting form of transport there is. When I see BoJo, Biden and company doing a Greta Thunberg when travelling then I might believe their hollow words. More people here worry about getting away on holiday in a pandemic than cutting emissions by not flying despite their flowery aspirations about living a green lifestyle.

Lets not forget that the adjacent offshore Hewett field has produced really good numbers for years in fact since the late 1960s and we can expect something along the same lines for just what has been discovered so far. Hewett is only now to be decommissioned and Bacton could use the gas. No great infrastructure costs necessary to make these onshore fields viable so its about time the SP reflected the huge potential of everything that UJO is invested in.

I thought I heard projected numbers of 1000 or more and with other wells coming on stream even without further news West Newton is more than enough to make the present market cap considerably undervalued. The oil price would have to drop a long way to make UJO look overvalued just on what we have.

has stabilised the share price and IMO is far and away the best decision in the last year. Recent news and the company's long standing prospects and potential will hopefully remove us from the volatility of AIMs penny dreadfuls and the casino punters attracted to them. Hopefully we can look forward to steady growth in earnings and real investors rather than a frenetic pump and dump mentality. But then this is an oil share and its not in the nature of many of the 'investors' to stop mud slinging and blaming others rather than themselves for putting their hard earned cash into such an uncertain industry.

It's always the same with the oilies. If the punters think they are missing out on making their fortune or God forbid losing money on their investments they blame everyone but themselves for investing. Way of the world. Oilies IME are particularly noted for this but most AIM stocks always attract abuse when 'losing' but not as much as the oilies do. That's why investing in them is 'such fun' if only to watch the trolls at play.
