Surely you aren't one of those climate deniers? James. I am not a denier and the evidence speaks for itself but any thoughts of getting out of this hole we are in by 'green salvation' is premature but gas and oil has to play its part. Otherwise I would not be putting my money into it.

Seen it all before except pandemic 'effect' is a bit different. The POG has been remarkably steady over the last 12 months apart from a few peaks when something akin to gold fever gripped the market for a few weeks, something I have never witnessed in the many years I have invested in gold shares. Gold price always used to be news driven and after many years of low prices we are experiencing a good price AND stability, or at least we have up till now. Perhaps we are returning to more 'normal' times with the gold price bouncing around daily. I don't know and neither does anyone else except to me the spectre of rising inflation will always be in the background. Talk of crypto currencies taking over is too premature I feel and anyway that has to be backed by something solid surely like gold.

Forget about inflation jobless figures fallen dramatically in US what about when BoJumbles sends ships to Iran that should send it up again. Or supply of microchips or ................................ usual up a ladder down a snake next thing the GP will be back where it started on Monday. This sort of stuff drives me nuts.

C'mon Oiler you surely realise by now your 'lifestyle' image is far from the truth. You don't run UJO on a shoestring with promising potential and maintain a lifestyle as you suggest. Other minnows this may apply but not UJO they have been around for quite a few years now and you don't survive running it as a 'lifestyle' operation.

As I said we know all that, or at least I did. The best we can hope for until Wressle flows and hope for gas/oil to come back into fashion with investors. At the moment, shortage or no shortage and the reality that everyone needs it , it is ostracised and put in the same category as coal which could not be further from the truth.

Gas is the only means st the moment to smooth out the peaks and troughs of any amount of green electricity production dependging on weather as it does and fluctuating electricity demand. Until a sophisticated storage system for electricity comes, and it will, demand for gas as a fuel will continue to increase. Especially as much of it is piped into the UK from Russia and Norway via Europipe the latter which has vast supplies in the Norwegian sector has little use for it themselves. The most likely catalyst to encourage home production is difficulties importing gas especially when you consider the relationship that this country has with Russia. When push comes to shove the price of gas will rocket (difficult to believe just how low the price was in recent past) As I say, but when? Meanwhile UJO will soldier on and we all wait and wait.......

Heard it all before roger, from me as well, but when. No amount of upmarket progs will make much difference till on of the 'massive' potential of all these irons in the fire. I too look forward to the day that POW, I believe POW is one of the few explorers that ticks so many boxes, achieves a fraction of its potential. But until that day promises of fulfilling its potential are just that. THe biggest tick for me is that PJ puts his money where his mouth is and has invested very heavily in the company to his optimism is mine also. He stands to lose far more than any PI and I admire him for the fact.

panama - Yep on that I agree the world's gone mad. Given up trying to understand global markets far too complicated and hedge-fundy. Just go back to basics and gold in the ground is very basic and still a favourite for most.

I got out of this as soon as he was appointed his record speaks for itself.

so no doubt after and initial SP rise things will settle back into the same old same old.

Freddie - perhaps he like the rest of the punters on here didn't know whether the SP was high or not or could go higher. Hindsight is a skill that most of us have but unfortunately clairvoyance isn't.

Ricardo , I used to have theories to explain the AIM but I've given up on all of them. In the past often SP were news based and I mean the 'past'. Now with autotrading and the whole casino environment often based on some 'expert' pontifications its quite impossible to know. My guide is if a company is soundly run, well funded and doesn't have to keep running to the market on the back of some 'news' for more, the newsflow is consistent and reliable and there is no 'monkey business' going on in the boardroom then I hang in and wait for the tide to turn MInd you have been caught out a few times in the past and ended up wthe company going belly up. Even with the anti oil sentiment I certainly don't think this is the case with UJO and look forward to (eventually) selling at a profit.

I would second that NT on similar experiences. I had heard of flocks of birds perishing in the North Caspian Sea from gas escapes but never flares burning birds. If it happened I guess that no animal would fly or walk into fire, they run or fly from it. Gas is different.

HF - We are lucky when I was a boy cake was a treat. It is a silly saying but maybe in Mary Antoinette's day cake meant bread ! Which again could be interpreted in the modern meaning as money. Even dafter is the expression you can't have your cake and eat it which begs the question what do you do with it.
