I'm again banging on about jasonm100's post from the other day page 20 onwards
https://www.selectinvestors.hk/documents/The_Investor_Vol_103_Autumn_2019.pdf
I find this passage interesting/exciting due to jd mention of good progress in "the cloud"(he did didn't he?!)
Wider ecosystem opportunities
Already, some of the biggest names in tech are scrambling to get their own dedicated cloud gaming infrastructures up and running – including Alphabet, Microsoft,Apple and Sony – and each promises to deliver unique value.
Google’s Stadia and Microsoft’s xCloud platforms, for example, will benefit enormously from their organisations’ extensive, worldwide data centre networks. Electronic Arts, the leading North American games publisher,
has announced Project Atlas, which enters the early-stages fray with a key advantage
– it, like Microsoft,
owns a substantial
chunk of the content
people want to play.
Hsia says: “There’s going to be a lot of competition to try to get content on an exclusive basis.
Any thoughts? I realise the initial document has been out for some time.
