Progress of sorts. HSBC 'complaints specialist' owned up to admin errors having occurred. He assured me that he would sort it either by the end of the day or early next week. Treated like royalty I was, ahem, although actions speak louder etc.
HL look after my wife's divis Tom. In her experience they are very prompt with all payments, usually on or around the 12th of each month (HSBC take note).
I'm loath to sell SMIF as it's been a terrific income stock for me over the years. With the share price looking a tad more energetic, it's one I want to hang on to, so I hope all's settled by next week. Happy updating LTI, gla.

Nothing showing in my account today. November's bumper pay out went in 3 weeks late and the December 1st divi is now 4 weeks (!) late....The HSBC agent who is dealing with the problem actually phoned yesterday so I must be ruffling a few feathers. He suggested that SMIF were at fault, so it's become a blame game. I will be in contact with him today as well as pressing SMIF for an explanation - last time they 'denied any wrong doing' (groan) and implied HSBC inefficiency - who to believe?
I'm weary of this; if SMIF are the culprits then respect's out of the window and I will sell up next week and add to my blue chips which have always paid divis a day early ie PHNX, GSK. Investing should be fun and worry free, eh? ATB
Aye Gold, a poor show from HSBC. At first they blamed SMIF who were astonished when contacted, by both the accusation and the delay. Hsbc then admitted only partial culpability, citing custodian tax complications. Their agent admitted to never having known of such a delay (4 weeks!) and promised to get back to me within 1 working day. Unsurprisingly that never happened as it fitted in perfectly with the cavalier, uncaring practices hsbc seem to have adopted.
I will give it until the new year, as it is a MONTHLY income payment and then regrettably fire up the ombudsman who might be able to shake things up a bit. We all have better things to be doing - what a farce! ATB
Month for the real estate giant. Goldman Sachs going Landsec bullish for'24 has acted as a shot in the arm for our venerable blue chip. I wlll hold tight as the generous quarterly divis make this a confirmed keeper. Gl all.
Earnings, revenue all heading north, acquisitions secured and sought, that's a solid rns. https://www.investegate.co.uk/announcement/rns/london-security--lsc/interim-results-for-six-months-ended-30-june-2023/7770812.........November's divi announcement eagerly awaited. GL all.
like meeting an old friend, must be 7 or 8 years since I held here. Could be time to build again: they've sold up stateside and profits are on the up after the dreaded 'C' word. Researched a number of the inns/ hotels on Tripadvisor and most receive good to glowing reviews. Won't get carried away with spending a fortune, this ain't FTSE 100 territory, however I love owning bijou boozer shares like this. All IMVHO and definitely DYOR. GL holders, spectators (rare as hen's teeth).
£120 a share...well that's some consideration when investing here. This year's curiosity company for me, well run, micro managed: had a bit of fun and profit previously with CAM,HCFT then BMTO so let's wait and see. GL holders, spectators.
Excellent day in GSK land, share price on the up and a hefty dividend received. Said divi languishing in my stocks and shares isa, wonder if it's taxed if transferred first into my ordinary current account then the wife's social fund...hmm, must contact HMRC. GL all
Well Dino you could be right, although looking at the RNO operations map on their website there appears to be very little activity in Putinistan. Europe, India, Indonesia, South America and USA all feature heavily: maybe a raw material supply issue but let's wait and see , eh? Good luck with your investments and hope you cheer up despite these gloomy times, the Ukraine tragedy certainly gives a new perspective on everything. ATB
