Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
jiddy123 - it's just texting errors, that's all. Better points to discuss than that! For what it's worth I do believe that your response from Arthur is genuine as I've had emails from the company on occasions too. I've held here for a good few years now and each time I think the exit (my £1 target) is on it's way, it drifts further and further away. I still believe in this share but just a bit frustrated. Never once traded this one which has been my biggest mistake.
Slightly unprofessional response if it's genuine. ". They also do not understand that we must stick to facts on our disclosure, and that it has to be true and plain."......Of course we know that, why would he say otherwise. Yes it has to be true, but no it doesn't have to be plain at all. He can present truths with as much flare as he likes.
Yes this share is liquid, but always had and probably always will be so poor excuse. Buyers hold of they are given a reason to stay. What's happening here just be based on the way need had been received in the past. It rarely rises on news and everyone knows it. How do we (COPL) get it of this rut is the million dollar question. It's a shame our CEO doesn't know yet either. Imo they need to tell the world about this find immediately. Otherwise the new will be lost.
I should have been clearer.
"So its 4 million unrecoverable not 4 million recovarable".
It's 4million recoverable from a figure given to contingent resources which are unlikely to be commercial. The reserves which are likely recoverable (as I believe) are 993million. This is the important number and it is monstrous in any case.
Art may need to clarify this.
· Total net risked Contingent Resources 1C, 2C and 3C Recoverable.
This is the estimated amount of oil that won't be commercial..not the total recoverable. That remains at just under 1billion barrels. Please don't think that means we can only recover 4million!
As well all know, Ryder Scott CPR's are extensive so the RNS that is written by the company must summarise and state the headline figures. If not, and even if a similarly large find is confirmed, it will negatively affect the share price. Most 'punters' won't take time to read the report so need something to go on instantly to create a decent spike. Fingers crossed the COPL team manage this news better than previous good news.
Right. Pointless prediction time. Monday morning RNS consolidation at 100-1. In the same RNS they announce placing at 32p. No explanation for raised funds, possibly working capital. Share price takes a hit and ends day at 25p ( or 0.25p if consolidation isn't that day). Following day we announce funds to be used to acquire CUDA's distressed asset and associated debt. Same day I sell having trusted Arthur (with no reason to based on previous). Let's hope I'm wrong. Personally bad comms is my issue. I certainly don't expect to be given updates on when Arthur's having breakfast, but this company shows contempt to it's shareholders imo the way we are left to guess the next move.
Decent interview in my opinion not just for the content, which was somewhat reassuring but the fact it puts us on the radar at least.
However Arthur and his team need to build on this by doing more interviews, getting that bloody website live (I did say it wouldn't happen on relist) and finally but in my eyes most importantly keeping the market more informed. We all know he likes to cram news into a single news release, but I think many of us will agree that the recent news was worthy of several releases. Maybe due to his concerns with people selling on news with it being a highly liquid stock. Get the website launched and RNS it, keep the market updated on Nigeria (maybe there is no info is available to them, not sure), RNS discovery testing.....etc. it's now the time to tell the markets how good we are, and that share holders deserve some help in moving this beast. I think we should be on our way soon.
Has anyone asked Arthur in person or by email why he chooses not to share all but the minimum information (and not even that much on occasions)? Like Tiburn said, he could help us along our way here. Why he didn't though worries me as a shareholder as in my opinion it shows he doesn't want to maximise my hold. We have had decent news recently and we are no better off (than months ago). Someone please convince him to manage comms in a different way. On a side note I did say just prior to relist that the website wouldn't be up and running. I believe it's a UK team working on it....slowly. I remain holding here but mainly for OPL226.
I'm not concerned if that's the only TR-1 for HSBC this week, but equally out isn't good news. Also someone pinned out why did they sell at a loss. They probably didn't as their holdings average was probably lower than the sell price. Just because they bought a tranche higher just meant their average increased a little.
In my opinion the only news that will drive the share price up significantly is license extension for OPL226. It's the reason punters put their money in here over the last couple of years before the RTO. These penny stocks move on sentiment and frenzies, rarely on good news that isn't mind blowing. Better to travel than arrive they say, and it's often true. A whiff of Nigeria movement and the herd will return without doubt. Q2 numbers may help the price hold at this level or slight increase but really need Nigeria.
No-one appreciates having money tired up for long, especially after getting the nod from the man in charge that a delist, a more so a long one
would be unlikely. Combined with missed filing deadlines and the SP not meeting their expectations, it's a recipe for a sell. However, I still hold because the Atomic acquisition has meant my 'gamble' on drilling and hitting sweet oil in Nigeria is now a much safer bet, with no significant downside from here. Arthur's experience tied with opportunity has bought us a real gem in Wyoming. This looks primed to creep up over the next few weeks, but I'll not be selling until COPL226 is drilled if we get the rights to do so. Enjoy your evening all
I'm guessing an opening price of 0.81p tomorrow. Shares just don't open up 300-400%, do they? If it's that low I won't be selling though as I see fair value at just over 1 - 1.2p currently. With today's Nigeria PIB news and Q2 Atomic results due September which I expect will be decent, I think 1.5-1.8p is achievable sometime next month. Let's see what happens but good luck to all, both those selling and those buying. We all have our own ways to make money so stick to your plan.
0.8p is my guess. Quite a few have had funds tied up in here for a while so may well be looking to move elsewhere. Will be slightly disappointed if that low though. Impressive Q2 results should take us to the next trading level, perhaps 1.2p.
I hope you are right BigBear but I didn't get that impression from my discussion, although that wasn't Arthur. It certainly makes sense to launch on relist and that must have always been the aim.
There is a new website being worked on but apparently the progress is fairly steady so I personally wouldn't expect it to be up and running anytime soon.
Obviously good news. Hoping someone can pick it the highlights to share as it doesn't lend itself to a browse. Maybe the SP will be a slow riser on relist as everyone digests it. I was wrongly hoping for an impactful doc, but that's not to say this isn't full of nuggets. Well done COPL team. Maybe Art will provide an impactful RNS for relist
I frequent this board daily but rarely post. Although CawCaw comess across (sometimes) with a negative slant, they are valid points and I don't for a minute believe that they are a deramper. I'm pretty neutral but this is dragging on a bit now. I believe that the financials are still to be submitted so don't expect FCA approval within the next few days if that's the case.
I get the impression that the usual OPL226 agreement extension might not arrive, but instead they are holding out for license extension which may well be pretty close following recent overhaul. Let's hope so!
Can anyone confirm that FCA have a final submission from COPL, including financials? I have my doubts that they do.
Thanks panamabob. I very rarely post but I do try and read this bb every day. I've only been invested here for just short of a couple of years. This is the first time I've felt confident about this investment though - before Atomic we were pinning our hopes on an African country doing things quickly, which rarely happens. COPL will soon be entering a new chapter with a rebranding almost inevitable with Atomic work and other possible projects (which I don't know about by the way but I always thought the rushed raise a few months ago was for something extra). I'm sure a lot of it was also used to pay for Atomic wages etc too though to get the ball rolling.
I don't expect submission for relisting to be made for a few days just yet, however I also understand that things are progressing well and it's just awaiting audit completion prior to applying for the relist. It's times like this when I'm pleased were aren't trading as traders would pounded on lack of news.
