I think you're being very optimistic with 2p+ today, Hamm!! I'll be happy if we just maintain reasonable day-on-day gains until the next RNS announcing Heron 2 results, which hopefully won't be too far off and who knows, could be as surprisingly good as Gazelle was...

Am I reading that right - A "Gazelle 2" being drilled at around the same time as work commences on Gobi Bear-1??

Heron Field resource estimates

- Circa 200MMbo in pkace potential

- 30%+ recovery factor should be possible by analogy with Block XIX performance. So Heron could be 60+ MMbo recoverable.

IIRC, Gazelle was 13 million barrels recoverable. Heron was 33 million at one point, but think they've since upgraded it to around 60 million.

Can someone please confirm.

What we talking as an initial rise in the first day or two? Assuming we're starting at 1p or so after a successful H2 (appreciate it would be higher should Gazelle/Gobi hit) are we looking at 2p, 3p, 4p? Higher? Any similar precedents from other company's Farm outs?

So, out of interest, what are your timescales for us getting to x50 (c35p)? I do see it as possible, but I see it as a few years off yet.

Maybe just me being overcautious/not wanting to tempt fate as, lets face it, it's been a bumpy road so far, but I do still have faith that it (35p) could happen at some point.

Talk to 50-baggers is all well and good, but let's get a 0.5 bagger first. Then we can maybe discuss a 2, 3, 5-bagger...

We're at all-time lows - let's slowly build up the SP and therefore the sentiment. The next few weeks are pivotal for both of these, lets just sit tight and hope for some good news that we can build on going forward.

Look at ALRT's year-to-date graph - 100-bagger in 9 months. That's what we need.

2p next year? Shows how much expectations have fallen in a few short months. This from one of our learned holders only back in May:

"Anyone still doubting that we will see 50p this year needs to seriously reconsider the facts. With all the activity on the ground, major news flow expected, and sentiment starting to shift, a rerate is not just likely—it’s inevitable. We will not see 50p—we will blow past it. The momentum is real, and those who aren't paying attention now will be left behind."

FWIW, I would be OK with 2p as that would put me in profit as well, but it'd be nice if Gobi and/or a Farm Out could push it a bit higher to reward everyone's patience.

If you really believe that to be true (poor results from H2 incoming) then you'd be selling everything you've got.

It's almost like POW mislaid their crystal ball, which would have told them that GMET was going to double within a few months.

Abz - I agree with your timelines. With regards to Gobi, I also agree that they're cutting it fine to get it on stream this year (if indeed it does prove oil present), but since the drilling and casing was done last year, is this years' work able to be done into the early weeks of Winter if necessary, in your opinion? TIA

I didn't think it was too bad...just a bit pointless really. He could have waited until the H2 work was fully complete and BOPD figures known before putting out an RNS. Due to previous bad news/poor RNSs, this stock will only rise on cast-iron-certain good news now, surely MB knows that?

I33 - The important thing is who *initiated* the trade. In the case of the 13.5M trade, it was the seller - as indicated by the 0.7p price.
