All credit for this show of contrition. Sometimes it's worth considering the more "negative" points of view as well as the best case scenarios. If you consider all views the "Wisdom of Crowds" theory says that you generally end up not far from reality.

ADW - Thanks for the correction and apologies to MB. Maybe with hindsight the 821bopd shouldn't have been mentioned at all - or maybe a firmer qualification statement made to temper people's expectations. I suppose there's only so much they can do though.

The keys for me are:

H1 and Gazelle (and hopefully H2) now open a LOT MORE doors in terms of options available to PM.

We're all focusing on Farm-Out (quite rightly as that's what's been RNSed), but let's say that the negotiations FAIL. It's now not the end of the world IMHO as there's now many other routes left to explore.

The fact that the refinery is coming on line, Mongolia need the oil etc could be the lever we need for other future negotiations/options.

As others have said before: "Mongolia are desperate for oil. We have millions of barrels of it. Just help us to get it out!!"

Possibly all innocently and maybe they were just swept up in the excitement of the first well spewing oil out. Good news is that they've hopefully learn't from their mistakes and that the quoted figures for Gazelle are them now "under promising" and the rates can therefore feasibly go up. Fingers crossed

Personally I think this is exactly what will happen. They can now use the upcoming presentation announcement to buy themselves some time so they don't have to rush an RNS update out until then, to give maximum time to tie up any loose ends.

I'm trying to manage my expectations ref the presentation. Sure, it could be a "Grand Slam" of great news for H2, Gazelle Uplift, PC Payments received, Sunsteppe news. And the biggie...the Farm-out/$400M+ Heron Sale. But I'm trying not to get carried away as been here long enough to know better...

However, I did crumble, and had a small top-up earlier of 200077 at 12:24:37. Before the SP exploded. Lovely.

MP - thanks for the response/clarification. I certainly agree that official inflation figures don't tell the whole story and your weekly grocery prices example is spot on. I do also think that a Heron valuation of $300m would be closer to the mark than $150m. That alone would give c 12p to the SP which would be heaven right now.

My view is the following:

H2 is commercial - based on satellite images and ongoing work taking place well into the Winter period.

The "delay" is most likely that MB is putting together a comprehensive "2026 Outlook" for investors - based on the "media activity" / "MB wants to update shareholders before the new year" message which somebody apparently received via E-mail a while back.

This update could involve a Farm Out. Let's hope it does. Back in Aug/Sept I asked AI to look at the current Farm Out situation and next steps/timings and it was adamant that a deal could be feasibly announced by the end of 2025, even with the "Mongolian delays" we know all too well.

Also in the mix could (should) be that the tax issues that PC dreamt up have now finally been resolved once and for all.

Additionally, we should really be hearing a lot more positive news ref Sunsteppe.

Oh and possibly Gazelle volume increase...

Of course, this is PM and MB - so we can't rule out some sort of negative curve-ball being thrown into the mix, but I'd be surprised if there's zero positive news after all this time.

How do you come to this figure? Looking at BoE inflation rates it comes to $166m and looking at US CPI figures it comes in at around $150m
