Glad I am not the only one trading £100-250 a time! But can't complain, started with ~50% of my portfolio in a really stable bank -anglo Irish (and lost all of that!), but cest la vie -nearly back in the green with MON, ACTA, STF, HIRCO and few others etc - thankyou all!
If people have been following Hirco, it is going up again today. Anyone have any research on this on (bought in at 98.7p)
Anyone get a chance to look at PST - moving again this am, but don't know why GLA with STF/ ACTA!
If anyone is interested, here is a snippet from Techinvest and maybe what raised the SP on this in the last few months. Saying that I note a no of large sells last week but don't know why. "Portrait Software 7.5p (PST; AIM, Tech Software & Services) In its first trading update since the appointment of Luke McKeever as CEO, Portrait said it returned to operating profitability for the second half of the year ended March 31. Sales rose 10% on the first half and software revenue saw a 28% jump, mainly due to sales growth in customer marketing applications. Sales for the full year are expected to come in at £14.4m versus £14.1m in 2008. During the period, Portrait extended an OEM agreement with Fiserv Bank Solutions for the combined Aperio product. It also secured a call centre roll-out extension with Merrill Lynch’s Private Wealth Management for its real-time inbound recommendation engine, Portrait Interaction Optimizer. Portrait looks to be turning the corner at last. Buy."
Re Portrait (PST) - thanks. I will post a Techinvest comment on the PST chat board also and not clog this board up. GLA next week!
Can I ask if any one is tracking PST?
Also , interactive investor gives an recent news update, which mentions sony and others as new customer 1H09 http://www.iii.co.uk/investment/detail%3Fcode%3Dcotn:STF.L&it%3Dle
Thanks for the defitions!
STF note in Technivest, May 09 "As predicted, SmartFOCUS’ full year results for 2008 reflected a seriously deteriorating marketplace towards the end of the year. However, performance in the first quarter of this year was much better with trading comparable to Q1 2008. As a result of difficult market conditions in the second half that saw a severe drop in new software licence revenues, management stepped up its Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) strategy that enables the Company to bill for software as it is used, rather than as a large one-off up-front payment. Whilst the switch to SaaS will result in higher recurring revenue in the longer-term, in the near-term it has further contributed to a reduction in sales and earnings. Despite the tough year for SmartFOCUS, revenues fell just £1.1m to £10.4m and recurring revenue increased to 50% of the total. After a one-off restructuring cost of £0.5m, the Company saw a loss before tax of £1.2m versus a profit of £1.7m in 2007. Net cash at the year end was £1.5m (1.6p per share). During the year, SmartFOCUS added 90 new clients and partners, including Chelsea FC, Tenpin, New Zealand Herald and Easyjet, ASOS and William Hill. The Company also expanded its presence in the US with the £1.6m purchase of Astech Intermedia, a provider of market solutions for the news media. SmartFOCUS has weathered storm admirably and the last quarter’s performance is reassuring. Buy for rec
